Litter Genie Refill (1 Pack)

This is better than my old system of simply throwing scooped litter in the trash. The product keeps loads of kitty litter in a bucket. When you toss the new litter in, you pull a lever and the litter is deposited in the lower container of the bucket. I like not using the regular trash, but think that if each deposit were sealed off before it reaching the bucket, this system would be more sanitary. Putting the unit together took some thought and trial and error. Does this company have an online video of assembly? Also, when the bucket is full, you have to cut the top of the bag and tie it off; this is gross, and you better have carefully tied the bottom of the bag, or else. This isnt a bad product, but it needs some tweaking.

We have two cats and the litter genie has changed our life. One liner refill lasts us more than a month. More like month and a half depending on how full of it our cats get. Lol

Right now we dont have a better system in place so this works. The refills are fine, theyre just like what you get with the Genie itself. Its better to buy in bulk, you get a better price that way. The Genie (which is a different review) could probably use some tweaking. As far as refills go though, these are fine. They last a fair amount of time, they tend to not break, and they are easy to use. If you have more than two cats, Id make sure to have at least one refill on standby. While you get warning when its about full, its nice to not have to worry about getting another one immediately.

While I havent had to change out the Cartridge yet, I really love this product. Absolutely NO SMELL has been what friends have been saying when they see my kittys litter box. Right next to it sits the bucket that these bags sit in. In fact, my housekeeper asked if I wanted her to setup (activate) the system? I opened the lid and showed her that the pail was about half full. Her immediate reaction: Where did you get it and how much did you pay? I think she has already ordered one! With just one kitty, I probably wont need more refills for awhile. After one month, Ive only used two of the five bags in my original cartridge that came with the pail system and purchased 3 of these refills. Im a believer!

I like the genie refills just wish there were more in the container. It would be nice if there was a tab on the bag.

This is such a great idea for a product, with the use of the Litter Genie. It makes it so much easier to clean the litter box. The maker of the Litter Genie states that the plastic is 7 ply...the plastic grocery bags are 2 ply. I notice no offensive odors from mine, and with only one cat it lasts for at least 2 months. I havent done this, but others have stuck one of those baking soda air fresheners to the inside of the lid. While cleaning the litter box, if shes just squeezed one out, dropped a deuce, did a #2... you know what I mean (phew, that stinks lol), I will flush just that (its not like the urine clumps that are alot of litter... theres just a little bit stuck to it, so I THINK its not unsafe to flush...please use your own judgement). Overall a great purchase.

Easy to insert and does the job

I have been using the Genie for several years, but just in the past year the refills are becoming a chore to use. More than 50% of them are not set up correctly to find the open end of the bag to pull through. It is quite frustrating. Guess I should be returning them so I will start to do so, but they need to check their quality control or something, I may just give up on it and go back to using grocery bags. Please fix!

These things are freaking awesome. Now that I’ve been using them I don’t know how I lived without them. They make dealing with litter so much easier. I have one Sphinx cat and this type eats more than a regular cat. It’s been 6 weeks since I got this litter genie and I’m still on my first bag cartridge. It also hides the smell completely. Buy this thing, it’s a good investment that you will use everyday and works great.......!!!

This is definitely a life savior. I have a 1 bedroom apartment and 2 cats. I would have to take the trash everyday and sometimes 2 times per day. With the Litter Genie I can keep my regular trash schedule without having to worry of having a smelly apartment. I definitely recommend this. Something I learned the hard ways is that when the bag is almost about to be done it has a black mark. I failed to change it and the waste spilled over inside the container but the smell was pretty bad.
