> 24 hourThey claim these refills last up to two weeks for a single cat, but that is really stretching the truth. Count on about a week of normal litterbox use. For these to last 2 weeks, you would have to starve your cat of food and water and tie the bags as close as possible on both ends so that not a single inch is wasted. 2 weeks, sure, maybe for a kitten, but certainly not a full grown cat. 3 stars because its a good product, but minus 2 stars for the deceptive advertising.

> 24 hourPrior to buying the Litter Genie Cat Litter Disposal System my wife and I resorted to saving plastic bags and eventually buying them by the roll. What we hated was how we had to immediately take the garbage out or somehow the next morning the whole house would stink no matter how tight we tied the bag. With the Little Genie, we simply scoop the litter into the Genie. When it fills (usually about 1-1.5 weeks) we simply open the case, pull some slack, use the built in cutter, tie a knot and take it out. Then we tie one more knot and its good to go for another week. We just added this to our subscribe and save so will be getting these automatically going forward.

> 24 hourI use these to direct waste down into a regular 3 gal plastic bag (googled a hack for the litter genie). It works well, but it gets used up fast which is why I had to google a hack.

> 24 hourThis product is incredible. Our new addition to our family is a feral toddler cat. I saw the advertisements for this product, but had serious doubts regarding the odors, how much waste the product could hold... It is AMAZING! It is so easy to use and when its time to dispose, everything you need is right there -- the cutter makes it so easy and then just tie off, toss and pull down for the next two or so plus weeks of collection. Considering all that goes in for waste product, I am still in awe that the plastic does not tear and everything keeps in tact! And yes -- no odors! LOVE this product.

> 24 hourI dont buy these refills all that often because I am able to use regular plastic bags that I wrap into a cartridge manually, but eventually the plastic wears out and the cartridge wont hold the bags anymore. When this happens, I purchase a new cartridge, use up the included bags, and then use my own plastic bags for awhile. This helps to keep the costs down. I figured out how to do this by watching a few YouTube videos! Otherwise, using this system would be too expensive for my budget. I love the whole Litter Genie system, but cant abide having to purchase these refill cartridges all that often.

> 24 hourThis is such a great idea for a product, with the use of the Litter Genie. It makes it so much easier to clean the litter box. The maker of the Litter Genie states that the plastic is 7 ply...the plastic grocery bags are 2 ply. I notice no offensive odors from mine, and with only one cat it lasts for at least 2 months. I havent done this, but others have stuck one of those baking soda air fresheners to the inside of the lid. While cleaning the litter box, if shes just squeezed one out, dropped a deuce, did a #2... you know what I mean (phew, that stinks lol), I will flush just that (its not like the urine clumps that are alot of litter... theres just a little bit stuck to it, so I THINK its not unsafe to flush...please use your own judgement). Overall a great purchase.

> 24 hourI have had my cat/buddy, Toby since shortly after my husband passed away last year and I downsized. I had also experienced probably the worst thing that can happen to you after a knee replacement(wont go into details, but think someone put an IED into my leg). Because of that and the fact that although my unit is on the first floor, I need to walk up ten steps, so needless to say I cant take out my garbage. For a couple of months I cleaned out the litter into a plastic bag that went into the garbage, but there was a smell that I just could not take. I looked at the automatic litter cleaners, but reviews were mixed and I didnt want Toby getting caught in a moving rake thing. I figured I would give this a try. Havent they had something like this for diapers for years? At first I thought it was no big deal, you scoop the clumps into the hopper and pull the spring door out the clumps drop and the spring door snaps back into place. After I started using it, there was an improvement in the smell of the garbage. My daughter comes a couple times a week to empty garbage but it takes longer than even two weeks to fill if you shake contents down. She wasnt able to get over when it was full so I went back to the plastic bags. I use a rollator so I would put the bag onto the tray scoop and bring the clumps up to tray height to deposit the clumps. Well, this became a disaster of sorts when the clumps fell towered the outer side of the bag and flipped the bag over, sending the clumps to the floor where they broke up. I realized that the height of this receptical is perfect and the clumps cant fall out. When the receptical is full, you just pull the bag out of the cartridge enough to cut it and tie it off. Then you just pull the plastic material out of the cartridge and tie it off the you are ready to go. It takes quite a long period of time with one cat and there is absolutely no odor. You just buy the receptacle and it comes with a beginner cartridge with the plastic material. Each regular cartridge lasts a good amount of time. I have been using this for about a year and I like the convenience and no odor!
