Greater than one weekI use this primarily on my work Mac which I use to do software development. Ive had the old generation model for over 10 years and its been great. I liked that the auxiliary button below the sensitivity selector buttons could be used as a shortcut on the Mac to go into the window switcher mode. In the latest generation, theyve changed that button to reset the sensitivity to default and it no longer works as Mouse Button 6 in the keyboard shortcuts selection menu. I tried changing the settings in Logitechs GHub software but couldnt figure out if it was possible and after 10 minutes gave up after failing to discover if it was possible to customize a profile with button remappings to make this mouse equivalent to the old generation. Overall, it felt like they added more ((confusing) software / profiles) but made the defaults less useful (for me anyways). Im going to keep this mouse since the Razr mouse I bought before this scroll wheel broke after 4 months and this ones scroll wheel works for now.

Greater than one weekI think the seller send me a counterfeit product, since the serial number on the box mismatch with the label on the mouse. Ive included photos to verify the problem. The mouse itself feel very uncomfortable to move around because the sensor sometimes random slow down, make this mouse lack of precision when playing fps shooters or fast pace game. The left click seems very stiff and not like my old g400s which has a much better click response, the button feels smoother with crisp. Maybe Im just unlucky enough to received a defective mouse.

> 3 dayI had used a MX 518 as my primary mouse for many years. It finally broke and I was disappointed to find it was no longer made. I tried a few others but was never happy with them. I was skeptical when this was reissued. I figured it was just a cheaper knock off. It does seem to have been cost reduced some, and it is cheaper then the original. But I like it. It works well and it is fast. I had to slow it down. If you were a fan of the original, you will find this a acceptable replacement. Update: I have noticed there has been a large price increase for this mouse. At the current price it’s is much less of a deal. If I was in the market, I would still buy it, but be unhappy with the price.

Greater than one weekPro: Nostalgia. Con: Unlike its original debut, MX518 is no longer a winner in ergonomic since all the mice ranging from $10 to $100 follow similar design. The new MX518 is true to its original design where scrolling wheel only has the clicky mode. I really wanted the switch between clicky and smooth/silent mode on the wheel cause the scrolling on this MX518 makes such loud noise. Overall impression: I would probably go back to a later version of logitech mouse or even a $20 cheap brand one, for the added functionalities. Unless you are an older generation of gamer looking for that old feeling, this mouse is not the best choice for the price.

Greater than one weekI bought this specific mouse two years ago at Best Buy and have had its predecessor for probably a decade to be honest... They both have been so good that I just had to buy another one for my office at work. No mouse fits better in my hand and just works like how you would want a mouse to work. The simple adjustable DPI buttons save me so much time and just simply work. If you havent already tried this mouse, do it asap!
