> 3 dayI bought an MX518 back in 2006 for my one of my first computer builds. It fit perfectly into my hand years ago. The button layout and placement felt second nature. This new version feels and contours to my hand the same as the one I bought back in 2006. That mouse lasted through 15 years of games, school work, and boredom. Hopefully, this new one lasts just as long, if not longer. The only difference I can find (aside from the design and higher accuracy) is the left and right click buttons are a little louder and stiffer than the old one. However, thats more than likely due to 15 years of wear and tear.

Greater than one weekAs most, Ive gone through some Mice (mouses?? :) and this is my 2nd favorite behind only the G9. (**See Update At Bottom**) I have a variety of wireless/corded mice and this is the one I prefer after years of using a G9 which finally gave up the ghost .. and last time I priced them I bout passed out. So, great all around mouse for gaming/office/editing or whatever you can think of to use a mouse for. #TwoThumbsUp (ummm See Below) UPDATE! Are these refurbs?? **** Mouse went completely bonkers after less than one month. #argh So I just ordered another one and am counting on my experience with the initial purchase being an anomalous fluke. We shall soon see. :( I will try to keep this review as current as possible as I hope my first failure was just bad luck of the draw.

> 3 dayall time favorite. I used my previous version for 15 years. I replaced with the newer version just to refresh. Love it!

> 3 dayMy old MX518 became victim of the infamous loose cable disease [which Im trying to fix because its one of best mouses (mices?) out there in the wild]. I decided to give this newer version a try but was skeptical of its quality due to the low low price point. Ive been using it moderately for close to a year now. At first it felt pretty much like its predecessor but over time its beginning to feel cheap, especially the scroll wheel. Its fine, though, for the price. I wish the original mice from that era that are out of print (MX518, G400, G9) werent so darn expensive *sad face*

> 3 dayAs a gaming mouse it just works perfectly, and fits my hand comfortably. The Hero sensor makes it precise and lightning fast. My friend have remarked that I must be using a macro as my shooting is so accurate and fast. I purchased a second one, even though the first one is working perfectly fine as a spare.

> 3 dayI have been using an MX518 for several years. My previous one served me well for a very long time, but had finally started to wear out. Happy with its performance, I ordered what looked to be an identical model. I was not entirely happy with the build quality. Although it has the same model designation, this mouse is clearly made with cheaper materials than my last one. Everything from the thickness of the cord to the weight of the mouse itself is nowhere near what the previous unit was. I am the type of person that once I find something I like, I will continue to buy the same thing again and again. Although the replacement mouse has functioned fine thus far, given the changes in build quality I will likely not automatically purchase the same unit in the future.

> 3 dayI do not need a gaming quality mouse, but was looking for one that has good accuracy, isnt too expensive, and is a good size. I have long fingers and cheaper mice all seem to be smaller, my hand engulfs them. This is the slightly larger size I wanted, it works well, and the price was decent; so happy with it so far. My only gripe is the scroll wheel is noisy. It works fine, so Im sure Ill get used to it; and definitely not a reason to avoid the mouse, it just stands out to me when Im scrolling through something long.

Greater than one weekIve been using the mouse for couple of days and I notice the new Mx518 have some minor flaws compare to my current old G400. Build quality was consider a downgrade, thinner plastic and the weight feels lighter and not as balanced as well, making it more difficult to move the mouse smoothly. Ergonomics with the Mx518 not as comfortable as the G400 since the buttons is harder to click, my hand feels tired after using it for a while. Also I experience occasion stuttering with the mouse I think the sensor not tracking properly, and the new GHub software has less customization with no option to activate mouse acceleration. Its best to just buy another G400 or the G400s version if my current one has worn out.
