I surf but recently moved to TX so have opt d for skateboarding instead. This board looks great, rides well and is pretty durable. Love the size as it allows me to ride comfortably. I’m sure the other reviews about changing the wheels to go faster are valid but works for someone who doesn’t really need to go too fast and just cruise along.

Im very new to longboarding and this is the only one Ive ever been on so take that into consideration. I really like this board. It came with a tool to adjust the responsiveness of the trucks. Once loosened up it is very easy to turn. Im right around 200lbs and it holds me just fine. The only reason I am not rating it higher is that theres a very noticeable defect in the grip tape application. It doesnt bother me at all but it is worth noting if you are super picky. Ive already ordered a second board based on how much fun this one is. Recommended.

I have owned a half dozen longboards used to commute to school and work by board. I once worked for a skateshop and have tried many longboards. The Sector 9 Cosmic boards (flexy, fiberglass boards) have been my ride of choice for 15 years or so... until now. The Magneto is now my ride! I bought my son the 38.5 carving Magneto board. I tried it out and enjoyed it so much I bought the 42. While I like the 38.5, Id instead recommend the 42 because it is just as maneuverable, has small kick-tails, and has a better overall feel. Im a pretty big guy, my son is about 90 lbs, and my daughter is about 60 lbs. We all can ride the 38.5 or 42. Pros: - Great for carving! - Smooth ride. The flex in the fiberglass really reduces road vibration! - Stable. The lower center of gravity and the firm/slightly flexy surface makes for a secure feeling surface at high speeds. - Can handle tight turns (if you have the balance) - Nice look and hand-feel of the sanded grip. It also doesnt scrape up your clothes so much while carrying the board. I was not sure how I felt about not having grip tape... now I really like it! - Wheels, trucks, and bearings seem great to me. Im not going to bother replacing them as the gains would only be minor if any. - Strong. I can jump on the board without feeling like itll break. - The price is really reasonable for a premium quality board Cons - I would like a longer kicktail. I use the kicktail on tight turns or while turning while going slow. - It seems to get dings in it easier than my sons cheaper hardwood board. That said, I know they are all going to get beat up with use!

The stability of being level with the axel vs. being over it creates a much smother ride as well as being more stable beneath your feet. The wide deck offers lager footed persons, such as myself, an excellent platform. As well as contributing to the surf-like carving created by the set-up. The wheels and bearings are almost cloud like. Im amazed at some of the stuff I can just roll over instead of being a victim of inertia. Overall this is an excellent buy. Especially for the price. My only critique would be that the bushings are a bit too soft. However $11 gets you a set of 100a bushings on here. So its an easy fix.

Board is really nice and has great construction of board itself. Trucks could be a little more responsive. Company sent board in timely manner but did not send truck tool that was supposed to come with it like posting said. The little things like sending what is supposed to come with me hat I paid for will make me not order again from this company.

When this board came in the mail. I thought how low it was would be a problem and it would scrape a lot, but it actually does not. Plus on top of that the scooter lookin wheels are some of the smoothest wheels I’ve ever ridden on. I changed the bearings tho to bones. Cause the bearings that came with it were not good, but that’s just a minor fix. The board is sturdy. And cuts through rocks like nothing. Just hope no ones directly beside you or they may get a rock to the dome. All in all great board, and trust me keep the weird wheels, just swap the bearings. You will not be disappointed!

Im new to longboarding and Ive only had it for a week now but so far so good. At 220 pounds I was a bit worried about it holding my weight but it seems to be fine, no real flex in the board. A few skater friends said the bushings seemed a bit loose and when I tried to tighten them they popped out from under the washers, so I bought some yellow Nipple bushings and they seem to be fine. Ill update as I use the board more. Edit: 7/30/2017 Im down to 197 lbs and loving this board. Still keeping the 5 stars but its worth noting the trucks need to be tightened down a lot when you get it. I skated for a month before I realized my mistake and you can feel the difference. Also if the board gets wet youre going to need to re-tighten things when it dries.

The deck is gorgeous, the trucks and wheels are decent for a pre-built. Ive seen some people complain about the trucks being too stiff, but I think that really just boils down to weight, riding style, and how tight the kingpin bolts are from the factory. Im about 200lbs and I found them rideable out of the box, but I actually ended up tightening them up a bit because I steer more from my shoulders and hips than my ankles and knees. Friends of mine who are 40-80 pounds lighter than I am have been able to control the board pretty well, too, so I think that the stock parts are decent, they just may need to be adjusted to match your particular riding style. Overall, its a nice, fully assembled board that handles pretty well and is comfortable to ride for a very reasonable price.
