My old impeller wouldnt stop making this horrible clattering and grinding noise no matter how many times I cleaned it. I assumed it was worn out and needed to be replaced. Happily, the new unit works like a charm! Its as quiet as can be.

Worked! My filter works like new. Pumps water quietly and has good flow rate. Saved me the cost of a brand new filter!

This works great in my Marineland Emperor 280! This replacement part has been redesigned to be heavy duty!! The issue with the old part is the plastic cups that are located at the top and bottom. If they arent position correctly, they will wear out. This issue will lead to a loud noise.

My new Emperor Filter was very noisy, this replacement part fixed the problem.

while the part came in and did work, it had little effect on improving the performance of my emperor400s. It was still loud with insufficient water flow.
