My 13month old baby loves this animal magnet toy.

... BUT Im surprised that a few of the pieces were small enough to fit easily into a toddlers mouth and present a choking hazard, so I had to remove them before letting my granddaughter play with the set.

We were very excited to get these magnets, because of their glowing reviews. And to be fair, our 1 y.o. was very preoccupied playing with them right from the start. However, only after about 5 minutes of playing (of course some chewing was involved, as with all babies) the animal stickers on the magnets start to scratch and peel off. I expected more durability from these magnets, taking in consideration that it’s a kids’ toy.

My husband and I just threw a birthday party for our son, who just turned a year old. He received this magnet set as a gift. We have purchased several Melissa and Doug brand products, so we were confident that he would like it. He absolutely loves it. He enjoys being able to dump them out of the box, examine each animal, place it on the fridge, and after a while put them back into the box one by one. The magnets are good quality and the pictures of the animals are clean and crisp and absolutely adorable. They are also sturdy and not easy for little ones to bend and break them. Our son enjoys playing with them. He does not have any problems trying to remove them from the fridge. The magnets are also a great educational tool. When playing with them, we will tell our son what type of animal is on the magnet he is currently playing with and then make the animal sound associated with that particular animal. We cannot always supervise our son easily in the kitchen, so we make it extra fun by getting out a cookie sheet and putting it out in the living room so that he can have more time to play with the set. It keeps him entertained for a long time. We happily recommend the set to anyone looking for a gift or toy for their child or young relative!

I bought these for my 10 month old to put on the refrigerator and dishwasher for distractions. He loves to sit and play with them while I’m cleaning up. I removed some of the smaller ones that I thought could be a choking hazard, but there are plenty of larger ones. So far, they’ve done what I wanted them to!

These keep my grandson busy in the kitchen while I work. Colorful animal pictures, magnet covers entire back. Easy for him to put on and off refrigerator. I did take the smallest few pieces away from him for now. Hes 8 mths and everything still goes in the mouth.

Great idea to keep a little one busy while you’re doing dishes or cooking. Just stick these on the fridge and they stay busy for a bit and it’s fun

I got these for my 14 month old to play with on the fridge. I loved them at first. They are really cute and a good size and my kid enjoys playing with them. But, I had them a little over a week when some were already showing signs of wear from getting wet (from baby putting in his mouth), and they scratched my black fridge pretty badly. If you have a black refrigerator I would definitely recommend that you avoid these (and possibly all magnets). They seem smooth on the back but I guess it can still scratch delicate surfaces. I’ve since bought a few black magnet dry erase sheets to cover the refrigerator so my baby can still play with magnets and not do further damage. I also read that you can fix the scratches with car wax so I’ll be trying that as well. I’ve changed my rating a few times on these. They’re not the most durable and won’t last forever, but they are cute and baby likes playing with them (and also shoving them all under the fridge where I have to get them out with a butter knife…) They will scratch a black glossy fridge but I think any magnet will so just be aware of that.

My 2 year old LOVES them. I was looking for something with combination of farm animals and wild animals without buying separately and this is PERFECT. I purchased a magnet board separately and my son loves to play with them for a long time. I definitely recommend. I attached a picture of all the animals included because I didn’t see anyone post it yet and I thought it would be helpful.

They are of great quality, my grandson loves them and puts them on an easel. Well worth the money.
