Melissa & Doug Jumbo Numbers Wooden Chunky Puzzle (20 pcs)

Pros: My son loves all Melissa & Doug puzzles. I especially like this one because of the size of the numbers. They fit perfectly into the hands of a toddler. Cons: I am constantly looking for the numbers all over the house. There should be a website to order long lost numbers (13 has been missing for a few weeks now).. or better yet, how about coming in sets of multiples? Nevertheless, a great toy for toddlers to learn their numbers, build towers and play dominoes with! Definitely a puzzle that I would recommend!

My 3-year-old really enjoys this puzzle. Even though he found learning to count to 20 fairly easy, this puzzle has helped him recognize what the numbers look like, and it gives him great satisfaction to find the numbers randomly and place them in order. Plus he likes to count the animals or objects around each number if he forgets what number it is.

The Melissa & Doug Jumbo Numbers Wooden Chucky Puzzle was puchased as a gift for educational purpose. I had picked up several of Melissa & Dougs puzzles at a local department store. I was so impressed with the quality I decided to look on Amazon for additional products made by Melissa & Doug. I was not disappointed to discover the numbers puzzle and purchased to add to our grandchildrens newly started Melissa & Doug puzzle collection. Thank you Amazon for another reliable & well made product.

The puzzle is great but we are disappointed that the puzzle was scratched up when it arrived. It was in two layers of plastic and the plastic wasn’t damaged. This leads me to believe it was damaged before it was packaged.

Although Amazon shipped this much quicker than I expected, it is not what was pictured nor what Melissa & Doug used to sale. I have a number of Melissa & Doug puzzles that are painted on ALL sides. The older puzzles are made of real wood and feel much nicer than this pressed board crap. They are also cut to the image where the newer puzzles are mere outlines, haphazardly thrown together. I would have promptly returned this puzzle, but my 19 month old son really loves puzzles and saw this and the other 2 puzzles as they were coming out of the box. I cannot believe that these cost the same amount or more than the other puzzles we own, yet they are of such an inferior quality that I cannot believe the are trying to pawn it off as the same thing they used to sale. Shame on you Melissa & Doug.

Its a well-made product. The pieces of the puzzle do not sit flush with the puzzle board. That makes it easy for little hands to pick up the pieces (especially hands of the younger children that you dont want playing with it yet). My son likes to put together the single digits to make the double digit numbers (e.g. hell put the 1 and 3 in the 13 space, as best he can... it doesnt exactly fit.). 9 and 6 are different colors from each other, so it helps young minds determine which is which. The puzzle board itself is really quite large, compared to my sons other toys.

Im a professional nanny specializing in toddler care. I always request that my parents purchase this puzzle for me to use as a teaching tool. Its amazing how quickly a two year old can learn the ABCs!

Best quality in the market without a doubt! Perfect for 2 and up

It took me quite a while to finally come to the decision to buy this puzzle, because the design looks distracting in the pictures. It arrived this afternoon and the board looks great! Since the board is big and the letters are stroked, my 17-month-old had no problem completing the puzzle on her own even on her first attempt. The puzzle is of excellent quality too! So glad I ordered it!

I have always loved the chunky puzzles by M&D and this one is great. My daughter learned to count with this puzzle and it was great to mix them up and ask her to say each number before she put it in the puzzle. She is 4 years old now and a little old for this but my friends younger children love coming over and playing with it. I love how the pieces are large and easy for toddlers to grab.
