Greater than one weekI have purchased this letter puzzle as well as the same Wooden Chunky style number puzzle for my 2 1/2 year old daughter. Thanks to these puzzles, which she asks me to play with nightly, she can already count to 20 and can name at least 60% of the letters in the alphabet. Thank you to Melissa and Doug for quality craftsmanship and sturdy design.

> 3 dayThis is the perfect way to show your little one the alphabet. My sons only 2 and he has known his alphabet since he was 1 so the next best step is to teach him how to recognize the letters and this puzzle is perfect! What I do is lay all the puzzle pieces out and ask him for a letter if he gets confused and cant find it I can tell him for example give me the letter A for apple or alligator and hell know right away because each letter has a picture on it. I feel it helps toddlers remember things more effectively. Over all I am ver pleased with the puzzle good quality very smooth on the edges and the pieces are perfect for toddlers and little hands because they are chunky and very easy to put in their spots.

> 3 dayIm a professional nanny specializing in toddler care. I always request that my parents purchase this puzzle for me to use as a teaching tool. Its amazing how quickly a two year old can learn the ABCs!

> 3 daySo I bought two of these puzzles for my niece and nephews second birthdays. Ive given it to my nephew already and he loves it! He already had a very similar ABC puzzle (not the same brand) and he was saying the alphabet constantly and loved the puzzle. When we gave him this number puzzle and started counting with him, he was hooked within a week. We heard him saying the 123s all the time. It seems very durable-being solid wood and all. The colors and patterns are very very cute, but thats my personal preference. One thing is that the numbers go up to 20. I think for a two year old that might be too much and its probably better to start off with a 1-10 puzzle. But I dont foresee that as a big issue. If his parents focus on teaching him 1-10 then later moving on to the other digits then it should work just fine. Overall, I loved the puzzle, my sister-in-law loved it, and my two year old nephew seemed to really enjoy it!

> 3 dayMelissa & Doug make a lot of great puzzles. This one is also very well-made. Unlike some of their other chunky puzzles, the puzzle pieces are not painted. Instead, the printed letters are glued to the pieces. The glued paper hasnt peeled at all, though, and these pieces wont chip like the painted ones do. I gave this puzzle to my daughter at 22 months. It wasnt too much of a challenge, and she absolutely loved it. For each letter, there are pictures of two things that begin with that letter. We often talk about the letters while she does the puzzle. Some pieces may be choking hazards for little ones, but its otherwise a great toy for toddlers who love puzzles.

> 3 dayI love this puzzle and so does my daughter. Very brightly colored and perfect for her little hands since she’s only a year old. It got three stars because it came a little damaged. The sides were scratched up and some of the pieces had dings. I decided to keep it because my daughter will probably do some wear and tear on it anyways so it just didn’t seem worth sending back. Otherwise, amazing product. Love it.

> 3 dayI absolutely love this puzzle. My grandson, who is only 19 months old, knows 15 letters already. This puzzle is a great reinforcement to what he learns at day care and on utube. It is good quality, as all Melissa and Doug puzzles are... and, it is a nice size, which is why I chose this puzzle over others
