Melissa & Doug Match and Roll Shape Sorter - Classic Wooden Toy

Love this toy for shape sorting and learning colors. My son is 17 months old and loves the challenge of finding the correct shaped hole. It is well built and no sharp corners. I was debating between this one and the cube shape sorter by M&D but decided this seemed safer for a toddler. My only complaint is that it is difficult to place and remove the plastic red end cap. My son isnt able to do it on his own and gets frustrated.

Its a wonderful toy that will grow with your child. My big complaint is that the hole at the top when you reach in to retrieve the pieces is rough. My 3 yo son and I have both gotten nasty scratches from it. Wouldnt have taken much to really smooth this out and make it safer and more pleasant to use. Still worth buying, though.

Love the color and shape matching, love that it rolls and makes sounds. 12 month old loves it! She cant do it herself yet, but shes interested in it.

We got this for my 2 year old for Christmas. Shes been having a lot of fun with it! One thing I noticed is the red piece that holds the blocks in is *really* hard to get in and out, even my husband and I struggle and none of our kids (10, 8, 5) can do it at all. Most kids could not play with this independently, theyll need assistance getting the plug in and out.

I love this at first-the bright colors, variety of shapes, and sticker that has the shape names and ideas of how to play with it are great. My son got it for Christmas and unfortunately, after less than two months the paint is peeling on the pieces and it’s falling apart. I heard wonderful things about Doug & Melissa tots so I’m really disappointed

Well. My sweet baby girl is 7 months now and she already loves that toy. One of my best purchases. I really like wooden toys. I find them really stylish and cute. And well, I see, that my sunshine adores these too. You can find some interesting tips for extension activities as well. 6 COLORS - clean, bright, nice. 13 SHAPES - neat, not to sharp. Good one!
