Metamucil Sugar Free - 228 doses

Great product. My husband suffers from pancreatosis and a glass each evening has prevented attacks.

About 2 years ago I saw Dr Oz recommend either an apple a day or Metamucil to help the body rid itself of certain unhealthy substances that have no other good ways of exiting the body. Since Im rarely in a position to eat an apple every day (travel schedules), I chose the Metamucil option. I should also mention that my bad cholesterol was 190 at that time. Well, after just recently having a thorough checkup 2 years later, my bad cholesterol is down to 121; not to mention the other benefit of adding fiber to your diet- regularity. I didnt really have problems in that area, but knowing when (and how much) to take at certain times of the day did make the regularity even easier than I ever thought it could be. I tried a few other brands, and the ones with psyllium husks all do pretty much the same thing, but some do cause more gas than I thought was normal, so Id stick with the Meta. Ive tried the sugar free, the real sugar, and unsweetened versions, and while I realize the real sugar is healthier, I just like the taste & consistency much more with the sugar free smooth stuff (but I didnt dislike the coarse, real sugar version). The unsweetened version that I tried to take with orange or grape juice ended up in the trash- I just couldnt make the taste work for me. But I fully admit to being really picky on taste (like a 10yr old kid picky). I should also mention that this was the only real change to my diet during that time, and exercise frequency remained the same. So for me this was a very pleasant surprise.

Did nothing for my cholesterol but helps greatly with the bowels.

I love the product! The price could be cheaper though. I found the same sugar free two pack at Costco for 28.99 regular price.

Love this stuff... take it twice daily and keeps me slim and skinny... and no does not cause diarrhea or the runs... its fiber yo!

excelent product, here in Brazil the same product is different, here is plantago ovata not psyllun and it is not so good and it is very expensive, 170 gr coasts U$ 20, even all the taxes is cheaper buy in USA.

The sugar-free version is a better choice for me. And it does work.
