> 3 dayBass isnt as pronounced or visceral as my last pair of Sennheisers- and Im a sucker for deep, hardhitting electronic stuff- but these feel so balanced and the midrange is glorious. Highs are nicely smoothed out with no hint of shrillness. Perfect for vocals and acoustic sounds! As others have said, noise isolation is zero but thats not necessarily a bad thing- your housemates will be able to get your attention without stealing em off your head!

> 3 dayThe best headphones that I’ve ever owned, but the head strap took some getting used to because it became uncomfortable after long us. I have a bald head so that is probably why. Also, the overhead metal support bars makes an annoying tinging sound when hit by accident while listening to music. Sound quality is top notch no matter what music I play through them.

> 3 dayOMG -- these are without a doubt the most beautiful sounding headphones I have ever listened to; and, Ive listened to plenty. A firm believer in Sennheiser, I thought I would have to wait until I could afford around $1,600.00 to hear the ultimate headphone, even though I own two pairs of Sennheisers already. These cost me over $100.00 more than the 99s each!!! When I read the reviews that ultimately led to their purchase, I was expecting a very mellow, perhaps dark, sounding headphone. Not at all -- this headset needs only two adjectives -- perfectly musical. As a trumpet player, musician, and audiophile I honestly cant believe the accuracy of these cans. The cymbal crashes demonstrate harmonics and tone quality! Yes, thats right, not toneless splashes. Further, the bass is strong, clean and there is no coloration of tone quality in other instrumentation using those same frequencies. This review has been written after first listen out of the box. No break in. Lastly, I flattened the EQ in foobar to make sure I wasnt hearing boosted bass or lowered treble frequencies. Well, I wasnt. These Meze 99 Classics simply sound gorgeous!! You will not find a better sounding pair of cans on the planet for $300.00.

> 3 dayGreat headphones! Build quality is great. I love the way the wood cups look. The headphones are comfortable and they didn’t get warm for me as others have stated online. I like the fact that they are very efficient and you don’t need a headphone amplifier. The sound is the best I have heard for the price. I auditioned Sony, McIntosh, Grado, hifiman and Bose. The mid and highs are stellar. Very clean and silky smooth. Spacious. The bass is a little heavy but not over bearing. That can be adjusted with your device. I use the Astell & Kern AK240 for my playback device and the headphones are very dynamic and a joy to just sit and lose yourself with a great album. In Greek Meze means appetizer and they for sure wet your pallet. I don’t have any reservations recommending these headphones.

> 3 dayI bought these and a Fiio Q1 Mark II DAC/Amp as my first set of high res headphone/dac/amp. To be honest I was not sure I was going to notice the difference between these and the iPhone + a pair of Bose SoundTrue Ultra, but the minute I put these on the difference was quite big. I also love how they look and how comfortable they are. The only negative thing I could say is that they are not ideal for travelling. Ive recently used them in 6+ hours flight and if you want to take them off, you will have to put them back in your back pack because you cannot just put them in the sleeve of the seat on front of you. Another negative comment would be that the mic on the shorter cable is not place properly. People was having a hard time hearing me when I was using them to take a phone call. Overall Im very happy with them and because they are built to last I will be using them for a long time.

Greater than one weekPros: - Sound quality : You can hear distinct sounds playing at the same time very well. - Nice wood design, looks very good. Cons: - Bass not that deep ( I dont know why some people in the comment said there is too many bass ... ). - Microphone simply inexistant, its physically there on the cable but barely works. - My inner ear feel pressured like if the headset was sucking up the air, its uncomfortable. - When turning my head I can ear my movements inside the headset. - Overpriced overall I decided to return the product.

19-11-2024I have a few audio-technica headphones and they are more analytical. I was wanting a set of headphones that I could listen to and really feel the bass without drowning out the highs and muddying up the mids. These work perfect for that. Just a brilliantly fun headphone.

> 3 dayI just recently got into hifi, so I dont have that much to compare them to, but on their own I love wearing them, the sound is amazing, they look gorgeous and you barely feel them on you. The carry case and all the extras included are a good bonus and shows the attention to detail from Meze. Ill definitely be getting more Meze headphones in future.

> 3 dayHaving seen these on a YouTube video from Dankpods and loving the look of them I decided to look further into them, I couldnt find a bad thing written about them anywhere. My experience is as good as the reviews I saw, they are Comfy, lightweight and sound great, the cables that come with them are good quality (a Longer one for home listening and a shorter one with an inline mic for Cellphone use), They also come with a lovely hard shell case to store everything in. I also purchased a Bluetooth DAC (Fiio BTF5) that makes them even more convenient (better yet the DAC, headphones, Cables and adapters all fit within the case) . The Headphones are made of Lovely wood paired with lovely silver hardware, a spring steel head loop and a soft auto adjusting headband, the ear-cups are lovely and soft. I would recommend these to anyone, they are simply the best headphones I have ever owned. Well Done Meze on making a reasonably priced headphone that doubles as a piece of art.
