First, when I called Hutch Mountain, they were extremely helpful with questions regarding the product. They even put the electrical connectors I would need on the soft starter, which made it plug and play on my end, awesome customer service, thanks! The product itself seems very well made. I was able to fit it in under my AC electrical panel, to keep it out of the elements. Took about 10 minutes to make the connections, mount the soft starter, and reinstall the AC electrical panel cover. My starting amps on my Goodman 2.5 ton unit went from 74, down to 21.9. The running amps are 5.9. All of this information and more is available with the app and built in Bluetooth on the soft starter. My goal was to be able to run my AC unit, if needed, with my 8750 champion inverter generator, which is now easily possible. The lights no longer dim each time in the house either when the AC starts up now. I love the way the AC softly starts now, as compared to the harsh start up before installing the soft starter. I highly recommend this soft starter, as well as the amazing customer service that Hutch Mountain provides! If you’re still on the fence, just buy it, you’ll be happy with your purchase!

Im running my Nobo on an extension cord, I couldnt run the AC and the microwave at the same time without tripping the Watch Dog. Now after installing this (pro tip get the installation kit with the WAGO connectors to make an easy install into a breeze) now I can run the AC, the Microwave, the Xbox Series X, and an Ice Maker all at once without tripping the Watch Dog. Highly recommended.

Hutch Mountain got me my unit very quick. With the instructions they provided I was able to install it myself with confidence on my Coleman ac unit. The kit included all the connections including some pretty nifty connectors. I am now able to run my ac on my one Yamaha 2000. I am so pleased with Hutch Mountain and the way they engineered both the unit and the direction’s they provided. One thing I should mention is I had to drill a hole to pass the wiring harness through, the kit provided a grommet though.

Works as describe, dropped locked rotor amps by 80%...dont know about tech support ,did not call...could be a little cheaper, you can find it cheaper by at $40 plus , just have to wait longer...

I purchased this for use with my new Generac 3300 inverter generator which would not run our 15K AC in our new travel trailer. Now it runs it with no problem.

Works good can run my 15K BTU AC on a 20 amp circuit

I am very impressed with this device. It reduced the AC amps drawn during startup by more than half. I also found the install to be simple and easy to perform.

Installed in my Coleman Mach 3+ in about 15 minutes. I can now run the AC on my Honda EU2200 generator or on a 3000w inverter. Never pulls more than 10amps.

My friend told me about this product so I read all the comments which were all positive so I bought one, my reason for buying was to only have to use one 3000 Watt generator in stead of having to run to run my air conditioning on my trailer. Might install on my home AC unit to save energy too.

Very easy to install and works fantastic! Between the manuals, online guidance, and YouTube videos you really shouldn’t be able to screw this up. Training the soft start works exactly as described. On the 5th start, you can’t feel the compressor engage at all - the air just gets cold. Very happy and highly recommend. Now I can run my a/c off my propane-converted Honda eu3000is no problem!
