Micro Swiss Direct Drive Extruder for Creality CR-10 / Ender 3 Printers

E steps MUST be adjusted!!!

This is a very good extruder for the price I like that I dont have to re program my machine as I bought this until I can fit my hemera on. Its doing the job pretty good which will make me leave one on the other printer.

Don’t use flexible PLA with this, not matter how many adjustments I made the extruder would allow the Filament to escape and make a larger mess.

As Micro-Swiss is based in the USA, this is a high quality product. I have used other direct drives, and they do not match this one. I found an issue, after an X amount of prints with PLA... running 200/60, I have had a few failed prints, due to the grub screw coming loose after a while, causing a heat block... and the print fails. I have reached out to Micro-Swiss for a solution today... (I dont expect to hear back until after Thanksgiving) to see what type of revision/solution they offer. I would STILL recommend this direct drive, and hot end, over any other! (Just keep an eye on that grub screw.) **** UPDATE **** Changed from a 4, to 5 star due to the fact when I contacted Swiss, and explained the problem, they corrected it by providing the replacement part. The hot end is still running strong, and I am still a true supporter of them.

This completely eliminated my stringing problems on my Ender 3 v2. It was easy to follow the instructions and install, it took me less than an hour. However, it was missing 2 or 3 screws from the kit to connect the extruder and the plate for the hotend.

I absolutely love this thing! It has made my ender 3 reliable! I can actually trust my printer again. And the prints come out beautiful.

works great on replacement for ender 3 pro. also had the hole predrilled to install BL touch. Thing to remember is to down load the firmware to change the gear/ratio to 130 to prevent over/under extruding.

You will need to fix your steps per mm and your retraction speed in your slicer program. I love the quality of the prints. Worth the money

Installed this for my modded Ender 3 Pro. The extruder itself is fine but the hotend sucks. It has no supporting screws so it is free roaming, and also leaks filament constantly. For something that is nearly $100 Id expect much better. Update: Microswiss offered to send a replacement hotend and was very helpful when I contacted them. Everything works great!

Great manual. Great video instructions. Great results, working with PLA+ and PetG very well.
