Greater than one weekI bought this for higher temp plastic. It works well and has yet to clog. Im not seeing any improvement in print quality over the original or another direct-drive kit. I am happy to not have clogs with the higher temp plastic (PETG v. PLA).

> 3 dayOne reviewer mentioned it didnt improve print quality. I would add that if you work with nothing but PLA, you dont really need this. But I did notice a very slight improvement with PETG (less stringing). Most importantly, I bought this so I could print with flexible filament, as from what Ive read its not recommended to use a bowden extruder for that. My only criticism is that for 100$ current price, they probably could have included a temperature probe and heater cartridge.

> 3 daybe very very careful cleaning this hotend! I purchased it less than 3 months ago and have stripped the grub screws. it is junk now. cant find anything about a warranty on amazon. Im going to look at the MS website. probably doesnt cover my issue though

> 3 dayQuick install. Just change your esteps and replace gcode on slicer for start offsets. If your current extruder has the pressed in gear you will need a new motor with a flat on the shaft for the drive gear. I went with a pancake stepper to save weight. And decided to not use a Bowden tube.

> 3 dayIf you want to be totally unable to print PLA, get this. It clogs all the time. Heat creep is a major issue and the hot end is completely worthless. So either get a bimetal heat break or stay with what you have. The direct drive bracket is kind of nice. Light and solid. Im unsure about the extruder since the clogs stop me from using it. Worst upgrade Ive ever bought.

> 3 dayI do not write reviews really unless I have a pretty strong opinion on something. In this case my experience has not been good at all. When I got this product I thought it was really good build quality and looked so nice and could not wait to get it on my Ender 3 V2 my use case was to expand to TPU prints as those were not going good at all on the original setup. Prior to changing to the MicroSwiss setup my printer was providing me really good quality PLA and PETG prints. Since changing over to this setup I have not been able to get a single print. Even after following all their steps on their web site. Save your money and get the official Creality setup and save yourself trouble getting back to printing.

> 3 dayOkay so the chassis is aluminum and feels cheap, but fit well and the directions were good. Took me about 50 min. to install and allows me to print out of any material I care to. I like the product and would buy again, remember to set up your extruder steps! Mine was 138 on my ender 3.

> 3 dayI purchased this, primarily, to make printing flexible materials easier for the Ender. I know that there are better extruders that help, but my two other printers are direct drive and I never have any issues with them. You will have to print a little slower with the extra weight on the gantry, but slower is the way to print flexibles successfully anyhow. Just remember to calibrate your esteps and change your retraction settings in your slicer.

> 3 dayAfter getting my printer setup properly and tuning the profile settings, I was able to get some great results from this product. Well worth the price for the direct drive chassis with the all-metal hotend included. If I can get a lighter stepper motor for the extruder I could push this setup even faster.

> 3 dayUsed this for about a month with constant print failures due to leaks at nozzle. Tried all correct methods for securing nozzle, losen a turn and then tightening heat break - BUT!!! The heat break is then tight against the block - and when hot this is loose and leaks (both nozzle and heat break fully-seat in heat block). Bought the clone - was able to secure heat break and nozzle correctly (shows small gaps at both heat break and nozzle) and no longer have leaks. Would like the option to at least buy a heat break with sufficient threads / until then I’ll just buy clones.
