Great kit. Easy to use. Watched install video on you tube (please be sure yo not over tighten heating wires or it shorts out. My fault) added one to both my ebder 3s now

Best upgrade you can do. Calibrate your E-steps, reset your home location and you’re good to go. Eliminating my Bowden tube has been he best thing ever.

Don’t use flexible PLA with this, not matter how many adjustments I made the extruder would allow the Filament to escape and make a larger mess.

I absolutely love this thing! It has made my ender 3 reliable! I can actually trust my printer again. And the prints come out beautiful.

Used this for about a month with constant print failures due to leaks at nozzle. Tried all correct methods for securing nozzle, losen a turn and then tightening heat break - BUT!!! The heat break is then tight against the block - and when hot this is loose and leaks (both nozzle and heat break fully-seat in heat block). Bought the clone - was able to secure heat break and nozzle correctly (shows small gaps at both heat break and nozzle) and no longer have leaks. Would like the option to at least buy a heat break with sufficient threads / until then I’ll just buy clones.

After getting my printer setup properly and tuning the profile settings, I was able to get some great results from this product. Well worth the price for the direct drive chassis with the all-metal hotend included. If I can get a lighter stepper motor for the extruder I could push this setup even faster.

This is my 1st hotend replacement since I purchased my original v1 Ender-3 about 3 years ago. Until now, Ive only ever used a bowden setup. This direct drive extruder / hotend combo has given me nearly zero stringing with PETG which is awesome! After installing this, I was required to customize and compile the Marlin firmware, which did take me several hours to learn how to properly configure the various settings. After installing the MicroSwiss and custom Marlin, I did have an issue where the Y-Axis (Bed) was moving too far forward and causing the belt to slip (sounds like the bed slamming into the frame). Im certain there is a better way, but for the time being I configured the Y_MAX_POS to be Y_BED_SIZE - 13. Shaving off 13 mm from the y axis solved the problem, though I may have lost some printable area, not sure yet. I do have some new z layer banding that I didnt have before, but I will troubleshoot it and hopefully find a solution.

If you want to be totally unable to print PLA, get this. It clogs all the time. Heat creep is a major issue and the hot end is completely worthless. So either get a bimetal heat break or stay with what you have. The direct drive bracket is kind of nice. Light and solid. Im unsure about the extruder since the clogs stop me from using it. Worst upgrade Ive ever bought.
