> 24 hourThis 5.5mm DC Power male / female set impressed me as being high quality with heavy duty connectors and 18 gauge wires that can handle the maximum current this class of connector should be used for. SAE power connectors carry higher current, but are more difficult to connect and disconnect as well as being much bulkier. > 24 hourLove these. The gauge is truly what is advertised. These are robust pigtails. Update June 2020: these are prone to cracking at spot where the wire meets the plug (connector). Connection will go bad and will have to eventually replace. I have done so.

It was a tight fit considering the use of 18AWG wires, but definitely sturdy and will probably last a lifetime in a desktop/indoor environment. The barrel connectors fit snug and tightly, and Ive used 5 pairs without any issues.
