> 3 dayA lot of these cables use extremely thin wire. As a result they are virtually useless because of the voltage drop. I would love to see someone make cables of this type with say 16 AWG wire, but as it is these are the best Ive found so far

> 3 dayThe connectors worked great, however I notices that the plastic sheath around the wire does get soft and start to melt at quite a low temperature. Be quick with your soldering. That said, the fit for the connection between the male and female connectors is snug but not overly tight. Definitely recommended for DIY projects.

> 3 dayThese are commodity products and while there are differences you cannot generally tell one from another on the product pages. Wire gauge, tinned ends, not tinned or not well tinned. Number of wire strands (more beats fewer in terms of flexibility). Spring contacts or interference fit and how good a fit. This product seems to do OK on all counts. I use them primarily to make up DC power cables for observatory equipment and they last more than a season. Some brands are toast in after a few months. The wire gauge is adequate, the connectors a good fit even on cameras with notoriously wobbly jacks.
