Better than expected and as the ad described. I am very happy with the bundle of pigtails / 5.5mm barrel connectors, both male and female ends.

Squirrels bite the solar charger wires off at the plug on my deer feeders. These are the right size and the wire if 18ga. which is more than enough to power them. I wrapped them in metal to deter those pesky squirrels from chewing up my solar chargers.

Work as expected. Saves soldering time and allows to move connections around easily.

Insulation breaks at the connector very easy, added extra protection but just creates a new weak point. use these for low physical activity applications.

I purchased to make clean connections for an LED lighting project. I soldered the male ends to 18 ga solid copper (power supply), and the female ends directly to the pads on the LED strip. I didnt pay much mind to measuring gauge (though the 18 gauge bit of my wire stripper seemed to work cleanly without breaking strands). It was irrelevant for the amount of power Im managing. Made for a very clean install and Im glad I found these.

I always look at the reviews of a product and take them into consideration before buying. I do this with a very open mind. When I saw that these for the most part had positive remarks I didnt look too closely at the negative. It wasnt until I spent hours troubleshooting a camera that kept blowing fuses in my power supply that I realized this pigtail was wired backwards!! It turned out that half of the Male ends were!! Havent tested the female ends yet but expect the same. Unfortunately I found this out AFTER the return deadline.

Unfortunately. I could not utilize this in my application. When I put much more than 1 amp on this. The connector started smoking and became hot and started to melt the connector. You will not get rated 5 amps at 12v without melting and or fire.
