> 3 dayI have a pair of heaphones that has the 3.5mm on the right side (the side with the mouse), and USB on the left side. This helped me plug my headphones on the left side of the laptop (so the cord would not interfere with my hand using the mouse. For Zoom calls, this was good.

> 3 dayIt was easy peasy! I just plugged it into one of my USB ports on the back of my tower, plugged the jack into it, and then restarted it. That is all it takes to make it work! If you just plug it in it might not work. It didnt for me until I restarted it.

> 3 dayIm grateful that USB technology is so flexible. This product is the perfect solution to getting sound out of my laptop that no longer has a functioning 3.5mm audio-out jack. From the outset, the MillSO USB cable was a bit wonky. Of course you need to make sure that your 3.5mm headphone plug is firmly seated. When I accomplished this, the sound was really pretty good. But it still cut out a bit when the cables were moved around. So, although I love the product, Im not yet confident about its longevity. Its pretty inexpensive, though, so it might be worth the gamble if you need a quick solution.

Greater than one weekI bought a pair of very good Logitech speakers which I wanted to connect to my KVM switch so that they would function with both of my computers. KVM switch did not have a spare port to connect the speakers to. This adapter worked well to connect via USB port to the speaker set. Another problem solved!

> 3 dayThis was plug and play on my Ubuntu laptop. I only use it for audio output and it works with plugging a standard headphone plug into it without using a TRRS adapter (however, if you accidentally select it as your input and go into Discord or something the other party will hear an interference sound). I havent used it with a TRRS but I suspect it would work fine and the inputs show up as options for me on Ubuntu as well.

08-06-2025I use this USB-to-3.5mm headphone adapter to plug my headphones into the USB ports in my monitor placed on top of my desk. The headphone cables are too short to reach my computer on the floor and still allow me enough length to move about comfortably. My headphones worked right away without any kind of setup needed. I am running Windows 10 OS. That sound quality for the speakers and microphone in my headphones appears to be equivalent whether I am using this adapter or plugged in directly to the computers 3.5 audio jack. The blue anodized aluminum connectors are a nice finish. The 3.5 mm connector has a logo indicating it can be used for both audio in (microphone) or out (headphones, etc). I would definitely buy this adapter again.
