> 3 dayThis was plug and play on my Ubuntu laptop. I only use it for audio output and it works with plugging a standard headphone plug into it without using a TRRS adapter (however, if you accidentally select it as your input and go into Discord or something the other party will hear an interference sound). I havent used it with a TRRS but I suspect it would work fine and the inputs show up as options for me on Ubuntu as well.

> 3 dayI use this USB-to-3.5mm headphone adapter to plug my headphones into the USB ports in my monitor placed on top of my desk. The headphone cables are too short to reach my computer on the floor and still allow me enough length to move about comfortably. My headphones worked right away without any kind of setup needed. I am running Windows 10 OS. That sound quality for the speakers and microphone in my headphones appears to be equivalent whether I am using this adapter or plugged in directly to the computers 3.5 audio jack. The blue anodized aluminum connectors are a nice finish. The 3.5 mm connector has a logo indicating it can be used for both audio in (microphone) or out (headphones, etc). I would definitely buy this adapter again.

> 3 dayThis audio auxiliary jack/mini sound card adapter is an innovative way of giving you a way of plugging in any headset, headphone, or earbud connection to your desktop PC or laptop. All it requires is an available USB port, a usable 3.5mm headphone or earbud connection jack, and the audio content to listen to. It has quite good audio quality for its price/cost, and it does act like a plug n play device (requiring no drivers or other accessories). Because it is USB bus-powered, there is no need for additional external power. There really is not anything more to say about the features, as it is sort of self-explanatory. Two quick pieces of information. It is ONLY for output devices with 3.5mm jacks, so while you can use headphone or earbud devices (audio output), you cannot use it for microphones or portable input audio devices - thus, while it may have a 3.5mm jack, if it is an input peripheral, it will not most likely work. Last of all, Apple headphones will not be compatible, as well as anything that does not have a 3.5mm jack or at least an adapter to convert to so. I do wish the cord was slightly longer (like maybe 1.5 to 1.75 ft instead of just a foot), but if you want longer there is a 3 foot option. For me, I was caught in a position where 1 foot was adequate, but I would have rather had an extra 6 inches leeway (3 feet would have been longer than I preferred). I dont use Apple products, so that limitation wasnt on my map, but some might, so be forewarned. I give this item a score of 4.7 out of 5, or 9.6 out of 10 stars. I say buy with confidence if you have the need or want.

> 3 dayWorked okay until it stopped working. Ive had this cord for about a month now and though the audio I hear out isnt the absolute best I can deal with it because its a 10 dollar adapter cord I bought off of amazon. But just recently it broke. It has a short in it and makes this horrible high pitched staticky noise. Dont know if Ill be buying another one. May just have to look for a usb pair of headphones or something.

> 3 dayThe haadphone jack on my laptop stopped working some time ago. I bought this expecting it to be similar to other products that I have tried. Not perfect, but not terrible. Boy am I happy to have been wrong. This adapter sounds exactly like the main headphone jack used to. No delay, and the audio quality is perfect. I highly recommend that you buy this product if you are in the same boat as me, and I will be buying more products from this company in the future as the need arises. Great job MillSO, you guys rock!

> 3 dayThe 3.5 jack didnt insert the last sleeve, it felt like the jack had bottomed out as if the female end wasnt deep enough. I re-read the description that said it would take the TRRS jack. After twisting, turning and pushing the jack harder, it snapped in and works fine. It appears the Dell e6540 sound system is not stereo capable, USB or 3.5 pin. My Win 7 and a Beta Win 10 e6430 latitudes deliver great stereo from YouTube videos, with and without the converter.

> 3 dayMy son accidentally broke off the tip of his headphones inside the jack of his laptop. We tried every trick in the book (pliers, tweezers, picks, super glue, etc.) to get the broken piece out of the jack. Nothing worked. This USB jack adapter was a cheap, high quality solution that totally saved the day. It worked immediately, and the sound quality is no different than the headphone jack. Definitely would buy again.
