Greater than one weekPlug and play on a 10 year old desktop PC running Mint Linux. It was sensitive about which USB port I used, though. This is an old enough PC, than some of the ports may not be USB 2.0, so maybe that was it. It works great now, though. I just wanted to plug in my new ear bus with mic, but old desktops have separate headphone and mic jacks. I know there are adapters to do this, but I figured this solution would be more useful in the future as headphone jacks disappear and it doesnt gost much more. Now I can plug my headset into any computer with USB.

> 3 dayThis works well as a solution to a faulty sound jack in my laptop. I probably will, at some point, sort out the root problem, but for now I can do Zoom meeting and now have my colleagues say Youre breaking up 5 times an hour.

> 3 dayI needed this adapter to allow my old (and favorite) earbuds, audio + mic, to work with my new laptop. The earbuds no longer worked in the audio jack, but this adapter perfectly enables the mic and sound to work with all of the application on my laptop. After 1 week of daily use, Im really happy with it.

> 3 dayI recently got the A10 headset and I was having trouble getting it to work because the audio jacks on my PC didnt support Mic. It works really well and fixes my issue.

> 3 dayConfirmed this actually works with wired apple earpod headphones to let you use the mic and audio. They are my absolute favorite headphones due to how they fit in my ear. I have been looking for a solution to let me use the wired earpod headphones as well as their microphone capability on the ps4 and this finally solved my issue. If you use any kind of wired apple product on ps4 it will not let you use the microphone. This is a solution but the only drawback is you have to plug the usb into the system. It will require some sort of extension for comfortable use. For 8 bucks you cant beat it.

10-06-2025This is a convenient little cable. I bought 4 of them. You dont always have an audio jack but you usually have a USB jack. This cable makes it convenient.

> 3 dayI have a very old set of Bose computer with the old audio jack plug…I needed something to bridge the old and new tech, and this worked like a charm. I have expected it to not work, or that I would need some plug-in software or whatever…but it was plug and play. Good stuff and I recommend this for anyone who has a situation like I described.

> 3 dayIt just works. I cant say anything about the sound quality because I have it hooked up to terrible speakers, but it fixed the problem I was having with my horrible surface book 2 dock which would not output sound at a listenable volume. This fixed the problem and is almost indistinguishable from a normal 1/8 inch stereo extension cord. So yay!

> 3 dayWorked okay until it stopped working. Ive had this cord for about a month now and though the audio I hear out isnt the absolute best I can deal with it because its a 10 dollar adapter cord I bought off of amazon. But just recently it broke. It has a short in it and makes this horrible high pitched staticky noise. Dont know if Ill be buying another one. May just have to look for a usb pair of headphones or something.
