> 3 dayThese temp/humidity gauges are perfect for what I need them for, my praying mantis enclosure. So beautifully simple & cheap, but not poor quality! These are very sturdy & very easy to place due to being small. But not so small that you cant read the screen. They are perfect.

Greater than one weekI use these in my jars to monitor the humidity and it works for what it is but on the back where the battery enclosure is you push it down and slide it to open or close it and the it holds the battery in and pushes it against the connectors and if the door is loose the battery wont push against the connector enough resulting in the screen being faded its nothing serious I just used a little piece of tape and put it in the back side of the door to create more pressure, pushing the battery more against the battery terminal.

> 3 dayThese little things have been running inside my 3D printing filament boxes to help me check if the desiccant inside is still good. They come in a pair and I only bought one pair to start, then two more after finding that they worked for my application. They come WITH batteries already inside AND replacements which is VERY helpful. I cant attest to their accuracy since I dont have a calibrated hydrometer to check them, but they seem accurate enough. My oldest pair have been running nonstop from 1 October 2020 to now 18 February 2021. I do not know when they will run out.

> 3 dayI have had these for a couple of years. They come with batteries installed. Best to reboot them before use. Take both batteries out, make sure the screen goes totally blank, reinstall batteries. If you reinstall batteries before screen goes totally blank it will not reboot, it will go back to what it was before batteries were removed. If you have problem with them down the road, do a reboot.

> 3 dayI bought the Travel Humidor Plastic Pouches as well. I put one Hydrometer inside the Pouches and sealed it and the other one ( because I bought the Two Pack ) outside on my desk. The one on inside is working nicely and the one outside of the Pouch is measuring the Humidity exactly as my expensive Humidity/ Barometer that I have on my desk as well. Nice Little Unit.

> 3 dayWhen placed side by side they give a different reading...close by about 1 degree but being side by side the reading should be the same and it is NOT.

> 3 dayI ordered the (2) pack of the hygrometer/temp gauges to use for each of my cars. I decided to test their accuracy against other digital weather gauges I have in my house and each other. I set the 2 up near the centralized weather unit for comparison and allowed them to stabilize for 3 days. I’ve supplied a photo of the comparisons. The reading differential to each other is 0.3 degree F. and 2%. The 2%, 40% & 42%, differential between each is not within the +/- 2% advertised. The hygrometer reading 40% vs. 39% of my home weather hygrometer is within tolerance and obviously the 42% is not with its sibling or the weather hygrometer. The temp on the two siblings vs. the weather gauge is within 3%. I ordered the gauges for my cars to analyze a dry cough I’ve been having that I believe is related to the humidity differential to exterior air and house air. The price of the (2) gauges are very inexpensive and are relatively accurate. The surprise was that the two sibling hygrometer units didn’t agree within advertised tolerance. I expected the siblings to be relatively close to the weather station and closer to each other. I didn’t measure the response time and accuracy, other than the 3 day stabilizing period. So the overall rating of 4 stars reflects the 3 star rating for the tolerance differential from the advertised +/- 2% tolerance between the sibling hygrometers. The unit is good general information of temp and humidity certainly for the price.

> 3 dayI got this to go in my guitar case. I had alternately been over-humidifying and under-humidifying, neither of which was ideal. Where to mount it so that it wouldnt rattle around? I decided to wedge a piece of plastic from a notebook cover into the area near the storage box of the case. Then I used Velcro to attach the humidifier to the plastic, so that I could get if off to change the batteries. Good luck.

> 3 dayI use several of these to monitor humidity inside musical instrument cases. I occasionally check their calibration using hydrated potassium carbonate as a standard, and I have never found one more than one percent high or low. Allowing for the value of the four spare batteries if you bought them at a drugstore, the devices themselves are almost free!
