The sandpaper works great, but I ordered 150 grit and got 80 grit. Thats why you only get 3 stars. Gonna keep it because it works great, but I didnt get what I wanted. I bet the 150 grit I actually ordered is fantastic.

Sweet media once you know How to use it with a Vac system and the right sander.

Good job sanding, great for dust collection but the discs tear easily if they catch a sharp edge.

These pads are very durable , easy to use and clean afterwards. I like that the assortment had a range of grit pads that can accommodate a variety of projects.

Abranet is definitely longer lasting than traditional orbital sanding disks. Its the only abrasive disk i use now. For those of you interested or curious: I did purchase a big box of the Autonet to compare. My observations: stick with Abranet for wood sanding. Autonet does not last nearly as long on wood. Also, you do need to hook into dust collection to gain all the benefits of Abranet, otherwise there will be sanding dust everywhere just like any other abrasive disk.

As others have mentioned, I received mine in a Clayton box with a mirka sticker. The discs themselves do appear to be mirka labeled, but I still question if they are legitimate.

These are amazing. So few things are this close to perfect. Virtually zero dust with my sander hooked up to a vacuum. You just shake/beat off the built-up gunk and theyre good as new. Youll get more sanding done with a single one of these than you will with a whole box of the paper ones (and more quickly because youre not constantly dusting them off or changing them out)

Im using lots of this stuff in oak cabinet refinishing between coats of certain sanding sealers, lacquers etc. On old cabinets where we decided not to remove all the old stain/dye layers, we abraded the surface with these before applying de-waxed shellac seal coat. The first panel was cut quickly but these pads seem to wear down much quicker than say, Festool Granat papers. In between coats, I may use the 400 grit. For really light abrasion to de-nub overspray, etc, I may use the pre conditioned (used) sanding discs. Im using the Mirka pad protectors designed for these pads on a ROS. Wish they had this available in sheets for my other orbital sander (non rotating) that uses 80x130mm paper. 5 pads to to a rectangle are well shy of getting 130mm but can be usable for corners. The dust removal is OK, but not as great as the paper designed explicitly for my ROS with a dust extractor. You can vacuum theses pads between usage, or rinse & dry them.

Havent used this grit yet but the others that I have work pretty good at removing old finish since they dont seem to gum up like normal paper.

I have tried many sanding disks out there that are sold, and this is the best one I have used to date. It is expensive so buy in bulk and the price is much cheaper. Many times these products are not described as what best to use for. Are you using on bare wood? Are you using to abrade a varnish? Are you using it to remove varnish? All are questions that are very relevant to what type of sanding disk to use or buy, as many times one is not very well suited for another application, as in my case, varnish removal or abrading for finish coat. These disks are the best I have used that eliminate all sanding scratches if used correctly. Very important for either getting ready to varnish or for abrading for finish coat. This is where these shine. No scratches whatsoever. Please be very careful when sanding as any water based finish will show scratches much more than oil finishes, and many will tell you to not use aluminum oxide paper with silicate for water born finishes as the scratches will show through. This review is for polyurethane finishes only as I do not use water based finishes. These have excellent scratch resistant properties which I have had problems with using other manufacturers sanding disks. That is the bottom line for me. However, I was not totally impressed with dust pickup using my vac on the RO sander. That is why I gave it 4 stars. It is best to use a pad protector under these, which I did, and that may have contributed to less than impressive dust control. However, the protector aided in sanding much more efficiently. Bottom line is these are excellent quality sanding disks, seem to last as long or longer than others, and no scratches whatsoever. No fisheyes either. These are my go to sanding disks when I get ready to apply my first coat of varnish or my final coat of varnish. I use cheaper disks for the bull work and then use these to finish off. Buy them and you will not be disappointed. I have used these for over 30 years so I am not talking as a homeowner, but as a professional. Also remember to use a quality RO sander as these work in unison with the right equipment and you cant beat the new RO sander by Porter Cable for the money.
