Just sanded 25 drawer fronts. Impressed on the lack of sanding dust that escaped from around the sander. Did not even have to wear a dust mask which I have always considered mandatory. After going through all grits up to 320, a final wipe down with naphtha found only a little dust. Disks DO last a LOT longer. I would guess 10 to 20 times longer. I normally expect a disk to last through maybe 4 to 6 sq ft. These lasted LOTS LONGER. Highly recommend. Seldom give 5 stars but this product is not only better than expected, it also is well worth the increased cost.

The description was Condition: Used - Like New - Item will come in original packaging. What I received was the original package with (1) 240 grit disc missing, all (5) 400 discs and all (5) 600 grit discs missing. The description for the product only said used, NOT depleted !! I was jipped.

This stuff is amazing. Adding this to the Mirka sander means a practically dust free sanding experience. Obviously no sanding operation will every truly be dust free, but this stuff is right up there. You have to really pay attention to what you are doing since the lack of dust makes it seem like the pads arent working, but before you know it, youll be through veneer or have a rounded corner. I recommend the abranet abrasives for both the mirka and for woodturning since there is almost sanding dust clog. It is a little more expensive than regular paper, but lasts longer. You get what you pay for.

When connected to an extractor (vacuum) the net and the accessory pad pulls nearly all the dust out of the air and keeps the workpiece clean so you get a much better finish. I started using these to sand cabinet doors between coats and the final finish is extraordinary.... even with an orbital sander. Theres also a hand pad for areas too delicate for a machine.

Not a bad product but also not good was using on a festool and a DeWalt sander had bad luck with them staying on the dewalt. They dont clog and seem to have a fairly decent life span. And since mesh dont have to worry about hole patterns lining up which is why I purchased

I did not receive the 400 or 600 grit discs. All the other discs were present and worked great, till I went to sand to the higher grits I wanted to use. It isnt worth the time to take the whole set to return and reorder as I rarely will need those higher grits, but is worth noting. Despite the issue, I have used these for varied woods and resins. Definitely work well.

These are best for larger flat surfaces. On narrow stock, the edge of the disk comes loose, sometimes creating a folded section at the out edge. Sometimes the disk would fly off, but that might have been due to condition of unlying pad. Hard to tell about longevity. Think Ill stick with Diablo

Abranet is definitely longer lasting than traditional orbital sanding disks. Its the only abrasive disk i use now. For those of you interested or curious: I did purchase a big box of the Autonet to compare. My observations: stick with Abranet for wood sanding. Autonet does not last nearly as long on wood. Also, you do need to hook into dust collection to gain all the benefits of Abranet, otherwise there will be sanding dust everywhere just like any other abrasive disk

Abranet is a mesh abrasive with thousands of small holes. The distance from each abrasive grit to the nearest dust collection point is only half a millimeter. This provides efficient dust extraction from the entire surface of the abrasive. The open mesh design provides superior dust removal. Abranet"s innovative design allows the use of portable as well as conventional vacuum systems. This product combines high performance with a long lifespan providing a quick, effective and cost-effective alternative to traditional abrasives. Abranet is a revolutionary product for vacuum-assisted sanding operations. Designed for dry sanding by machine or by hand, its dust-free sanding characteristics results in a cleaner work environment, as well as a better surface finish. The new, patented abrasive will fundamentally change your work environment and results in 95% efficient, dust-controlled sanding when used with industry-standard Dust Extraction systems.
