> 24 hourI used my 21mm hole saw to drill 16 holes through 3/4” thick steel plate. Eight were set up and drilled on a Bridgeport mill. Eight were drilled by a cordless drill in the field. I did not notice wear or loss of performance at 16 holes. The pilot bit overheated since it drills faster than the hole saw. For thicker material, I recommend through drilling a pilot hole the same diameter, so the pilot bit can act as a guide and not have to work so hard.

> 24 hourDrilling through the sheetmetal floor of my van tore the teeth right off this hole saw. Toothless, it failed to finish the first job I gave it, and then I toss it in the trash. Money wasted.

> 24 hourI read most of the reviews on this 2-1-2” hole saw and tried it anyways but bought two just in case. The first one went through no problem I was drilling through 1/2” steel plate kept the lube to it was patient and no issues. The only thing was the spring to push out the piece came off pretty much right away. Didn’t chip any teeth and worked fine. And some reviews said over sized but as you can see it wasn’t.

> 24 hourAs the title states, the feeder bit broke on the very 1st hole. It was only a typical metal stud and nothing thick at all. It broke immediately as it penetrated. Im a plumber and tend to use a hole saw for my holes but after trying out a similar kit to what this bit is, figured it would work great. It didnt work at all. Returning for refund and I will not bother to try again. Time is money and this feeder bit (also called the guide bit) is far to cheap to work as such a bit would require.

> 24 hourSo far I have only used the 2 1/8” to cut through 1/8” thick aluminum. It cut well. My only grimace is that one saw was glued tight to the foam below. The paper chart inside was damaged by the saws, my suggestion is that they could make it no blemish by giving a metal chart instead.

> 24 hourspring applies pressure on wood before blowing out and splintering the backside of the cutout. wood dust also clogs the cutting teeth.
