While the knife its self is built well, I am giving it a 1 star rating as the knife is dull. There is no sharpness to it. It wouldnt even cut paper. It was packaged in its factory plastic, so it does not look like a return. We are talking a dull butter knife. I should not have to sharpen a Knife on arrival. Figured a Swedish knife would have a Craftsman quality...

Seems like a pretty well made knife, but looks too much like a kitchen knife. Not as impressed as Id hoped Id be, but for the money its not too bad.

OK, youre out bushcrafting, hiking, exploring etc. You come to a place in your adventure where a small, lightweight, razor sharp knife is a plus. for scaling/cleaning a fish, slicing tomatoes, whittling out some funky looking apparatus to keep your hammock tied up etc. If you purchased a Mora Stainless Companion, (or any other Mora, as far as that goes) you really are in for an honest to God cutlery revelation if youve never used a one before! I swear by all the mud turtles in a Georgia swamp, 9 chances outa 10, youre gonna be scratching your head thinking.... Why dont I have 20 of these at home?---especially at such a low pricetag. Mine has black/blue rubber handles, a clear polymer sheath w/ drain hole, an edge that scares a straight razor to death, and the ingenious little piggyback knob on the sheath, so you can carry 15 of the darn things if you decide to do that, LOL! I just carry two. One in carbon steel for skinning, and the stainless versions for food prep. This drastically reduces all of the problems associated w/ cross-contamination, at least when it comes to your knife!! The Mora stainless companions are easier to sharpen than 99% of the SS offerings out there, and as long as Ive got a ceramic rod in my pocket, its no problem at all to restore them to a near factory edge or better in no time. If youre looking for a general purpose knife, the Mora is for you. If youre looking for the invisible unicorn that will function as a power chainsaw and logsplitter, I wish you enjoyment and very large quantities of patience...I havent found that species yet.

Mora knives are the high quality standard for low cost outdoors knives. You cant beat this knife for the money. Ive used it for camping, fishing, carving, woodcraft, cooking, eating, and battoning up to 3 wood logs to split them for the fire and to create tinder and kindling. I use it mostly in saltwater and the SS has no problem with that. This is the best low cost outdoors knife in the world as far as I know.

I love Mora blades and give them out to my students regularly. This last batch I bought were all faded and discolored. I have bought the Cyan Color before so I know what they were suppose to look like. This new batch was baby blue with a yellow tint. I contacted Mora directly via their website and they never got back to me.

As with all Mora knives, its sharp from the factory and works great. My son used to process a dear a few weeks ago, he said it stayed sharp, was easy to hang onto and did a great job.

The Morakniv Companion is an all-in-one knife made for outdoor enthusiasts. Equipped with a patterned, high-friction grip, it’s comfortable to hold and easy to handle. It also features a 4.1-inch (104 mm) blade made of high-quality stainless steel. The Companion performs well during high-impact tasks, like creating tinder or cutting wood. When used in wet applications, the blade should be dried thoroughly to prevent blade corrosion and may exhibit a patina or natural discoloration over time. You should also clean and oil your off-grid knives regularly, especially after contact with acidic foods like oranges. Includes a sheath with belt clip.
