10-06-2025I have several mora companions in carbon. They are all the perfect knfe for utility. I use this one in stainless for garden work. Many garden tasks (onions) react with canbon steel. This one came sharp, stays sharp and is easy to sharpen. Washes up nicely. Also, I have come to appreciate the beauty in its utility. In short, I love this knife and as a plus it is the least expensive knife I own and I own about 40 more than I need.

> 3 dayDamn fine knives I give as gifts to get people to get outside and do something! Truly a fine knife and super strong. Wonderful price! My girlfriend loved the one I got her! A quality purchase so easy to find! You can have these knives all over your home, your vehicles and all your camping supplies will appreciate these knives around!

> 3 dayArrived extremely sharp and has been durable since then. Sheath works well, locking into place when the knife is pushed in, but comes out fairly easily.

> 3 daySolid little knife. I wasnt expecting much because of the price but I was very pleased when I received it. The handle fits perfectly in my hand and is in no danger of slipping out even when it gets wet because of the handle surface. And I could shave with it right out of the plastic which isnt the case for most fixed blade knives Ive purchased.

> 3 dayI bought this and the carbon steel version a few months ago (see review). The differences are: the stainless version has a thicker blade, 2.5mm versus the carbon versions 2mm. The spine on the stainless is polished rather than rough. FYI: stainless steel cant create sparks when scraped on a firesteel. Since carbon steel can, that version of the Mora was wisely kept rough. The stainless costs about 10% more. And of course, the stainless is resistant to corrosion making it suitable for cutting edibles. And not worrying about rust is a real plus as you can well imagine. It would also be a more suitable fishing knife- saltwater is murder on carbon steel. Other than these things, theyre identical to the eye. Either version is very strong, durable, light and sharp- Im not kidding, treat this as you would a scalpel. Indeed, an impressively smart and simple tool, theres just something endearing about it. Buy one version or the other based on their intended purposes. The carbon version has better blade properties (stronger, easier to sharpen, takes a sharper edge and holds it longer), but only by a little. With all that said, if I had to pick between the two it would be the stainless. There are YouTube videos galore on the Mora- some kid torture tests one by stabbing it into a tree, steps on it with both feet and bounces on it. After seeing that I ordered both. If youre considering one, buy it.

> 3 dayComes reasonably sharp, feels solid. The blade is pretty thick and doesnt bend easily. The sheath is just plastic but it holds the knife securely. Get the blaze orange color, youll never lose it on the ground and it looks non-aggressive.

> 3 dayEveryone always comments on how sharp these are...Mine was about as sharp as a butter knife, and its really hard to get it to take an edge. Though Ive never tried to sharpen anything that was this dull before.
