> 3 dayA Mora never lets you down and this one lives up to its pedigree. This is a hard working little blade due to the nearly full sized handle that gves you perfect leverage. It has less flex than longer Mora knives, so its the perfect for carving notches in sticks and hollowing out recessed areas. The scandi edge is easy to sharpen and the spine is ideally bevelled for striking a ferro rod. Ill still bring a bigger knife, like a kukri for hard work, but this is THE go-to workhorse for small work.

> 3 dayEither this, or the Crafline Chisel are my favorite knives...... i love the short blade, i almost wish it was half as long! the olive and olive drab combo is my favorite color option mora offers, i wish all their knives knives came in these colors. sense its a neck knife, it should have came with para cord. i just wish it had an option to mount it on a belt, other than the stupid overpriced leather thing more sells separately on the side ( didnt buy it, and wont) ill just make my own.

Greater than one weekI can say right off the top I like the knife very well. The handle is great and the sheath too. This is my first stainless Mora. I have three carbon models (companion and HD companion, and the 8 inch multi-purpose plus an older tri-flex blade.) I was not completely happy with the edge right out of the box. I can understand that right now with them having to rush manufacture to keep up with demand. I only touched up the edge to bring it to that scary sharp you usually get which is what I got. The first time I used it the edge rolled completely over. I resharpened the knife again and used a strop this time. So far the edge has been better but the jury is still out.

> 3 dayGet the belt loop for $5 and you have a quick edc carry, super quallity as always. Mora makes the best budget friendly knives and are not made in China. Swedish steel, this one is stainless steel other from $10 and they are all good. I like the Companion HD

> 3 dayThis a nice little knife. I love the blade size and grind, and the handle length gives more control, but the handle is just too bulky for this size of knife. Id like to see it about half as thick as it is. As it is, it is just too thick to be a comfortable neck knife, so it is relegated to sitting in my EDC pack as a city knife (blade length is legal in Boston).

17-11-2024The Eldris is a great hunting knife. The short blade and large handle provides maximum control and leverage for skinning deer. Also the short blade allows you to place your index finger along the spine while gutting allowing your to know where your blade is in relation to your other hand to prevent cutting yourself when you cant see inside the animal. Quartering is also easy with the Eldris. Combine the Eldris with a filet knife and bone saw and your hunting knife kit is complete.
