> 3 dayThis blade has two criteria that I was looking for. 1: Its pocket sized, 2: its fixed. I was actually surprised at the versatility of this little knife. The edge geometry is designed well, and cuts with ease. Its held up to me carving, hacking limbs, cutting various food items, and otherwise just general pocket knife uses. Its an excellent fire starter, with its spark throwing 90 degree spine. If youre a backpacker in need of a lightweight blade for food prep and kindling/fire work, its pretty great. If you want less moving parts than a pocket knife has, it does that. If you want precise control, the ergonomic handle provides it. One critique I have is that the steel is fairly soft. This just means you have to sharpen it more often, but it hones up really well. I would like to try a longer blade, maybe a Mora companion, but this fits in a pocket so well youll forget its there. *UPDATE* Ive had this thing for months now and the functionality remains. However, I did miss a detail about the grind on this knife. The secondary front bevel on top of the original scandi grind doesnt match on both sides. One is higher than the other. Its relatively cosmetic, but could be an issue if your knifes grind geometry is affected.

> 3 dayLove it. I’ve been searching for a “full-fist” grip on a short blade for a while. This is maybe a quarter of an inch shorter than my taste in the grip but for the price you can’t beat it.

Greater than one weekI love this knife, it arrived very sharp and is well constructed, it is carried as a neck knife. The blue color is great.

> 3 dayVery nice design but the blade is not equal in quality to other morakniv knives. The top grind is 3/8 inch longer on one side than the other. Both sides are wavy - irregular grinds. It seems Mora is not producing the quality that it used to.

> 3 daySo very handy. Easy to clean. Razor sharp out of the box. Holds an edge very well. I put a rawhide lanyard on it. Ware it on my neck around the farm. Its really handy when your hands are full and in a bind. Prob purchase another to keep in my toolbox at work soon.

> 3 dayThis is the knife you want, if you are looking for a short, all purpose knife that inspires confidence while you hold it. The grip is sure. The blade is tough. The spine is ground to work well with a fire steel. Like all Mora knives, the Eldris is an amazing value at an incredibly low price. If you check out the photo, you can see how I converted the basic blade to a neck knife. I just used some reflective tent cordage and a split ring through the scabbard. I like this set up better than the Mora solution, and I would hope a furute redesign of the scabbard would eliminate the need for the split ring.

> 3 dayLove it like I love all my Moras. The blade is too small for batoning but is just enough for any other task. As an EDC, not my choice at all- the handle is too round. For campsite, hiking, survival etc- it can be the second knife along with a bigger knife for batoning. I cant get a spark off the spine but I did try ONCE with the edge. That worked but not something I plan to do to it. Mora, I love ya, but this really needs a belt clip. I can make it a necklace carry but not for under anything because the handle is not flat. Outside carry around neck is possible. I take off a star for the sheath. I read and read I know I know. The description clearly says there is no clip. But for me, sometimes I need my knife or gadget in my hand. Ill make my own decisions then. Even so, not sure how to use this. It isnt a pocket carry at all. The fat little bob of handle makes it totally usable in the hand but where do I put it?
