Greater than one weekI needed this tool to break an old chain and install a new chain with solid style rivet pins. This was not only the best priced option, but sleek looking with an innovative simple design that I thought would last a long time. This chain tool comes in a cool blue blow-mold case to hold everything, and comes with an spare pin which is good. I filed the pin head on the old chain flush with the connecting plate just like on the instructions, and then proceeded to line up the tool correctly to press out the pin. I got about midway through pressing out the old pin when it became pretty difficult to turn the press bolt. I kept turning slowly and the pin finally came out and I was able to get the old chain off. Unfortunately after i took the tool apart to see why it was hard to turn, i saw that the bottom of the bolt that presses against the extractor pin (the third object from the left in the main picture) had broken part of the bottom while in contact with the extractor pin. This tool comes oiled from the factory and I even applied a little grease to the threads to ensure this would not happen. I could not believe that on the very first use of this tool it had a piece break off! There is no replacement for this bolt available from motion pro yet, i dont know if that is because the tool is new or what but i will definitely need to get one soon. I am afraid to use the tool to break another chain, for fear of breaking the tool. Thankfully I could still use the tool to press on the rivet link of the new chain, and was able to start riveting the solid pins, but i need a vice to hold the tool because it is impossible to hold the tool with your hand and rivet the solid pins with a wrench. Also, the quad-stake rivet attachment for riveting solid pins is rectangular in shape and not round as the picture suggests. This is a better design so that the attachment wont spin around while youre trying to rivet those pins straight on. The attachment for riveting hollow-nose pins is round, like in the picture. All in all its a cool compact tool, and i do like its design but was a little disappointed with the strength of the top bolt and Motion Pro needs to have all the pieces available for replacement!

> 3 dayIve never used one of these before, and with a little help from the instructions and a youtube video, installing a new chain was a breeze. I didnt use it for chain removal, since bolt cutters seem like a much easier option. I did slightly crush the magnet on the forcing screw a bit, but that was my own fault for not following the instructions closely enough, so beware of that.

> 3 dayeasy to use, just follow the instuctions, I ground off the end of the rivet on chain before using the breaker, pushed the pin out easily. A little trickier riveting master link on, but quite do able for a noob like me.

> 3 dayWorst awesome on full size bikes. The coolest and most handy chain tool ever. Be careful dont run tool all the way it when pressing a pin through on smaller bikes. Press it just enough to get ahold of pin. Because the pressing pin is tight on my sons 80 chain and got the tool stuck in the chain an happend to break it on reteavle. Another great product put out by motion pro . Absolutley satisfied customer.
