15-11-2024It do be working well for breaking, pressing, and riveting 525 pitch chains. Price is up there but the quality makes it worth the ask. I ride a lot so a good tool is invaluable in my opinion to keep the tires facing the ground. The face of the block doesn’t want to stay in place when you’re pressing the master link together so use grease to hold the link plate to the block and back the tool off as needed to check the pins are aligned with the cutouts in the block or you will end up needing a new link. When you do your master link rivet, be sure not to use too much force. Turn it slowly by hand and once it stops wanting to go further, STOP and check your work with a micrometer or dial caliper.

> 3 dayThis tool is perfect for the job. Easy to use if you simply take your time and measure frequently ... There are a few good YouTube vids on the use of this tool which I highly recommend watching before you do the job. It is also important to be able to take good measurements when you are riveting the chain and you really need a caliper for this job ... Just a basic Caliper it accurate enough for this work ... I would not attempt this without a caliper. All in all, it is a great tool that is robust and should give many years of good service.

> 3 dayUpon first use, the pin bent a little bit. Not the end of the world, but I was disappointed. All in all, I pressed out two rivets successfully. Upon peening the rivets on the new master link, the peening attachment shattered on the first rivet. Pieces of it shot wildly around the garage. I only recovered two of three pieces. It seems that the design of this attachment is just too small and weak for the job. Im sending it back for a refund tomorrow and trying the Motion pro Jumbo next. Wish me luck! Ive seen a few mentions of a failed drive bolt. It doesnt say this in the instructions, but the threads of the bolt need to be lubricated prior to use. Any type of oil or anti-sieze will do. Reducing friction at the threads will reduce the amount of force needed, which will probably save the drive bolt every time.

> 3 dayThis tool turned out to be more than I had expected. I read other reviews and decided to give it a try and Im soo happy I did. This is the easiest and best built chain tool I have ever used. No matter what part of the installation of the chain it went smooth. I will never use another chain tool now that I have this. Built very well and even a 5 year old could figure this tool out.
