Great for starting holes in metal or nonmetal to keep the drill bit from running. I also use it on drywall when making a mark for hanging items.

Straight forward, they are punches and they work, affordable and get the job done. I use them frequently at work, after longer use I will need to return to update on durability.

Have been using this item only on wood but so far it’s been working great. You can adjust the tension in the spring by twisting the back to make the indentation deeper or shallow. I like the indentation which allows you to 1. Mark where your gonna drill or place a screw and 2. Gives you a bit of support to hold your drill bit.

Although these may not be good enough for a machinist, theyre perfect for a workshop or garage. They seem to be accurate and leave a good sized indent, big enough to get a smaller drillbit started.

Not as narrow and pointy as some that can used also as scribes, but it works well as a center punch. The strike force can be adjusted by twisting the barrel
