NETGEAR 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged Switch (GS308) - Home Network Hub, Office Ethernet Splitter, Plug-and-Play, Silent Operation, Desktop or Wall Mount

Decided to re wire and go Gigabit. Needed additional ports over the 4 my router has. Was between this and TP. I know TP has good reviews, but I have used Netgear products since the 90s, and trust them. Solid little unit, seamlessly worked with my install, giving me all 12 ports of use on my punch down.

Saw someone else post this issue as well, got a returned item at new price. Id be ok with it if it was sold as a used item, expectations are clear. But it was sold new, and the only thing Amazon will do is waste resources shipping boxes back and forth instead of just discounting a used item and selling it used. Netgear makes quality items, dont take this as a jab at Netgear, this is a Logistics issue.

My home had CAT5 (or 6) connections in the rooms, but we didnt have a router (always relied on wifi). Now working from home, I wanted wired Ethernet connections to speed up a couple of work processes. This inexpensive router is working beautifully!

The switch has met all of my internet connectivity needs.

Nothing fancy, simple unmanaged switch. Plug in and go. Good price if you need a simple switch.

Flawless; works as described. I watched streaming live TV, connected to an internet phone and performed an internet speed test on my desktop at the same time, the speed was excellent and stable!
