I recently had several network switches fail due to a nearby lightning strike. Ultimately I discovered poor grounding at my cable-tv entrance box. In theory, the lightening traveled through the cable modem and took out most of my hardwired network, except the Netgear ProSafe switches. In all cases, these things survived.

Well built and works perfect. Bulletproof operation - Ive never needed to reset it due to it acting up.

works as intended

Needed this to expand my home network while still being able to manage devices and ports. The switch itself works great and boots up fast unlike my router. Only took a few minutes to get the settings configured once everything was connected. Id definitely buy again and probably will when I need to expand again. I love that its actually metal instead of plastic. My only complaint with this is the app is garbage. No matter what I do the app will not connect to the switch for monitoring and configuring. I only get an error saying the switch is out of range. But if you are connecting to the switch homepage through another device on the network then youre fine.

This is a soldreliable 8-port gigabit switch. Just plug in power and plug in your ethernet cables and it just works. Metal casing is more rugged than plastic, and lights and RJ45 sockets can all be turned not to face you so you can avoid the endless flashing green led lights flickering.

works connects all my stuff fast, Im happy.

Burned out in less than 6 mths. Waste of money

Excellent product for an incredible price. I use this everyday and take it on travel.

running this off my router, plan to get a second for upstairs. it works great, no problems, cat5 and 6. would recommend for anyone who needs a basic, unmanaged expansion to their network.
