I use the GS308v3 switch to tie multiple segments of my network together. Network covers 3 large buildings with four separate routers/APs. I want to go to a managed switch, but for now...I will make do with this nice unmanaged switch.

It was quite a challenge finding a 2.5 Gb switch. This switch is great. Easy set up and worked right out of the box. I can push 2.5 Gb to anywhere in the house. Highly recommend.

Bought this switch to help mitigate the issues I was having with my wireless connection dropping constantly on my work computer. During these times it was important that I had a stable connection to all my devices. The switch now feeds data to 4 of my machines at home that were previously all on wireless. With the extra ports I can expand this to more devices in the future.

I placed near TV and entertainment center. Instead of running 6-150ft Ethernet cable to each electronic device. Wi-Fi to slow.

I bought this to replace a plastic 8 port 10/100 Netgear switch that Ive had since 2003. The 8 port switch still works, I just needed more ports & wanted gigabit speed. This thing shipped with dead ports & has to be constantly rebooted due to attached devices losing network connectivity. Its possible that I got a dud, but based on the other verified purchase reviews, its looking like Netgears quality control has gone to sh*t. I havent seen anything good about their customer support or RMA practices either.

I can find connection problems, without having to walk the property for problems.

Simple plug and play! It does what its supposed to and for a cheap price.
