The good: In a dark room the result is very good. The 1080p resolution is good enough, the colors are acceptable. Overall, good product for the price. The so-so: The interface looks very old, and there are no updates available. The bad: The audio output sounds very slow (trying from many sources, the same problem always occurs). Another annoying thing, if the projector is installed with a slight inclination, you only get a well-focused image right in the center, but above and below the focus is quite lost. The sound problem has not allowed me to enjoy 100% of the product, since it is likely that some intermediate amplification solution is needed to increase the volume.

This product is great for the price. I’m going to have it mounted in the ceiling in my bedroom but I have it setup in a test configuration in the living room. As you can tell from the photos, it’s a rough temporary set up, but I just had to see how this projector operates! While it has some flaws that I will go into, it’s great overall. The picture is clear and crisp. I didn’t even see it on a proper project screen yet and it’s already really good. The brightness could be better since it’s listed as an outdoor projector. You have two HDMI inputs as well as an AV input and 3.5mm audio output. Pretty good at this price range. Right now I have it set up with my Firestick, and the built in USB ports (there are two of them) are enough to power my watching One Piece! The built in 5W speaker is decent, but you’ll really want to add on a proper speaker system if you can. Things that need work include the menu. It looks outdated and is kinda of clunky. It could use more settings options, but again, if you’re using something like a fire stick or other streaming device, it’s more than enough as you won’t be interacting with the stock menu much. Additionally, I couldn’t figure out a way to get my firestick to control the volume and power (ARC) perhaps I did not configure this properly, but the manual didn’t make this process any clearer at all. Overall, this projector is fantastic for the price; it’s truly a good value if you want to step your toes into using projectors!

Picture The picture this projector puts out definitely looks like a respectable 1080P image and the brightness was definitely more than some of the cheap mini projectors youll find just below this price point. That being said this is a typical projector that you should run at night or in a dark room. Overall colors looked good and I didnt feel like I was missing any detail in the image even in dark scenes. Its not going to be a 4K HDR image but if youre looking for a fun outdoor projector this one wont disappoint. Audio The speaker included on this projector is also a pretty typical 5Watt speaker. It gets loud enough to hear it but not much more than that. The good news is that it doesnt try to be a BASS speaker so the sound was very clear and I could hear dialogue well. Immersive Dolby Audio claims The ads on this Amazon page are a bit deceptive though claiming Immersive Dolby Audio. Heres the truth on that and its not all bad. To begin with the Projector itself only has 1 speaker so youre not going to get anything immersive or surround from that its just physics at that point. However, if you have a movie file on a USB drive that has an AC3 (Dolby) audio track the Projector can read that file and play the audio through the single built-in speaker (mono) and its not going to win any awards but it plays pretty clearly so its enough to enjoy a movie if you have no other option. Additionally, you can connect a speaker system via the 3.5mm headphone jack output or Bluetooth and you can get a much better sound that way from the original Dolby audio track although it will still only be stereo and not Dolby surround. Unfortunately, this projector does not have a Digital audio out option (like Optical, Coax, or HDMI ARC) so its not possible for the projector to output surround sound audio from a USB input source. That being said if you plan to use this outdoors you wont have walls to bounce sound off of with a soundbar and its a pain to setup and arrange 5.1 speakers unless this is going to be a permanent setup. If you must have surround sound though youre not out of luck. The projector has HDMI inputs so if you have a soundbar or surround receiver with HDMI IN and OUT you can connect HDMI OUT from a movie player (BluRay Player, Roku, Chromecast, Xbox, PS5, etc.) to HDMI IN to a soundbar/receiver and then HDMI OUT from the receiver to HDMI IN on the Projector. At that point though the audio processing has nothing to do with the Projectors support of Dolby and everything to do with the sound equipment connected before the Projector. One nice benefit of having Dolby support in the Projector though is if you have an HDMI device that only outputs Dolby (Old Chromecasts used to be guilty of doing this) youll actually be able to hear the audio even if its only stereo at best. Cheaper projectors you might find on Amazon sometimes don’t support Dolby over HDMI and have no audio when connected to older Chromecasts which was a shame because Chromecasts are a small and convenient device to connect to a Projector and stream with. Bluetooth Audio Setting up the Bluetooth audio with this projector was fairly easy using the included remote and the menu. However, I did notice a slight delay between that picture and the audio behind it. I was using a Polk Magnifi Max soundbar to test this feature so other devices may have better Bluetooth capabilities. I’m not a fan of Bluetooth audio myself so I quickly switched to HDMI after that test. Remote The remote control for this Projector is small and to the point which I like because there’s not too many buttons. The Menu/Input button took the longest to figure out because it’s a single press for inputs and press and hold for the menu. My initial setup of this Projector was as a rear projection where the projector is behind the screen in a room and to my surprise, I was able to control the projector without having to walk around the screen. This might be a different story if I was outside without walls to bound the IR light off of but I was impressed none the less. The remote requires two AAA batteries that are not included. Focusing Nexigo has opted to use a motor inside the Projector to control the Focus ring and as such you can’t focus the projector manually. The remote has dedicated buttons for focusing and for this reason I would recommend making sure this is one remote that never gets lost and here’s why: Your only other option for focusing the projector is to use the touch sensitive buttons on top of the projector to navigate an onscreen menu. The same onscreen menu you probable can’t see because the picture is out of focus (see the problem?). While focusing the projector there is a nice test focus image with text in the center and all four corners so you can get everything in focus easily so that’s a nice touch. Maybe it’s the old DSLR photographer in me but I just wish there was a manual focus option. Projection Distance This Projector is not a short throw as some of the marketing images on the Amazon page might have you thinking. I have an 84” screen and in a normal size living room I struggled to get it to fill the middle of the screen. According to the manual (yes this Projector actually has a nice manual included) you would have to have the projector 9 feet from the screen to reach 80” and 21.8 feet away to reach the maximum 200” screen size. So plan screen size accordingly to room size for this projector. Digital Zoom I’m only calling this out because of how the photo in the Amazon marketing portrays this feature. What this feature does is, if you’re playing a movie from a USB drive, and you want to zoom in on a part of the picture it will make that section of the image larger (like a photo crop) and gives you a tool to pan the image while the overall size of the projected image on the screen remains the same. Zoom does not increase the size of the projected image on the screen. Only moving the projector further away from the screen will enlarge the projected image. Music Playback I saw in the manual that this Projector supports FLAC audio files so I decided to test it. I put my copy of Pink Floyd’s Dark side of the Moon on a USB drive in FLAC format and it played just fine using the remote and onscreen menu for the USB. It even had a nice visualization while playing (in review photos). USB Support One thing the manual lacks is specifications on what USB formats the Projector supports. Because of the large file size of 1080P movie files I was hoping it would support either NTFS or EXFAT since FAT32 has a 4GB size limitation for a single file. I tested NTFS first and that worked so I didn’t bother testing EXFAT. I was also able to play an MKV file with H264 video and AC3 audio. Other notes This Projector was packaged well and arrived without a scratch from Amazon. It has a dust filter on the fan intake that ejects on the bottom and came with what look like long q-tips to clean it out which I think is a nice touch. You just have to be careful when picking up the Projector because it’s very easy to accidentally eject the filter while picking it up. Fan noise is noticeable but not harsh and fades into the background while watching a movie. It’s best if you can have a rear projection setup to get the fan away from you while audio comes from a speaker system that’s also away from the Projector fan. Summary (TLDR) At this price point ($150 - $200) this is a respectable projector with plenty of features to be able to play the movies, music, photos or games you want to from the devices you own. It will work best outdoors at night or in a dark room. It requires considerable distance from the screen to reach its full size so make sure you have the space required. The built-in speaker will work in a pinch but I would highly recommend connecting an external speaker system for better sound. If I could change anything about it, I would add a digital audio out (optical, coax, or HDMI ARC) and an option to manually focus the projector so I don’t have to worry as much about losing the remote. Support for a tripod mount might be nice too but it’s on the heavy side for that. Overall though a solid Projector at this price point for making family memories with a home theater.

This projector is great for the price. The picture is clear and bright. The projector is quality built, lightweight, doesnt get hot and has a host of connections; 2 HDMI, 2 USB, Bluetooth for connecting to soundbars or other wireless speakers, WIFI for connecting all your Mac IOS or Mirror casting and DLNA, too. Also, there is an included cable that does all the old A/V connections youd use for Blue-ray or DVD players. The instruction book is easy to follow as are the onscreen menus. I use it for educational purposes teaching languages, and it works well for that with a very bright and clear picture. It kept the kids busy while we went swimming, I just popped in a flash drive with movies on it and projected them against our wall outside. Speaking of the kids they found out they could use this for their PC games. Just make sure to use the HDMI connection for that because WIFI will have a delay. The projector has an array of controls on the top front which are easy to get to, but the remote control works great inside because the signal will reflect off the walls and get to the sensor but the people who complained were obviously outdoors. If outdoors, you have to be behind the unit for the remote to work because the receiver is in the back of the unit. Windows will cast to it no problem, So all in all, Im happy with it.

Upon reading previous reviews, I had high hopes for this new projector. As soon as I received the item, I opened the box and began to test it to make sure it works. The projector appeared new until I turned it on. The new projector had a very dirty lens and the fan is very loud. I was impressed with the picture quality as it does appear to be very good. I would have loved to given this item 5 stars but expectations fell flat. I will probably be returning this projector in the near future.

I use the projector to teach students and it is important to me that I can connect both wired through HDMI cables and wirelessly with bluetooth and this device does a fine job. Some of my course work includes audio and the speakers built in and the ability to add additional ones is a big plus. I was a little skeptical after reading some of the negative reviews and I personally have not experienced the issues they mentioned. I am happy with this projector and I am happy to recommend it for the cost. The quality of the picture is quite remarkable for me as well.

Ive had this for about 6 months now and its never worked right. Weve tried everything- the screen mirroring connects temporarily and then shuts down, usb cord doesnt work, aux cord doesnt work. Weve tried different phones, gaming systems, lapstops, everything I can think of. Ive had friends who work in tech try to figure it out and the best we can come up with is this system just doesnt work. Im not sure if I got a lemon because I read a ton of reviews before purchasing and it seemed like this does work for most people, but not for us. Im pretty bummed since it wasnt cheap (I know its not the most expensive, but its certainly not the cheapest option either).

This is my second projector so I had a couple things I was looking for in a plugged in upgrade. - Picture Quality/ Brightness - Sound (fan) - interface usability The picture & brightness is great, high quality, not pixelated even at large sizes Compared to my portable projector, the fan sound is near negligible The interface & ability to use the remote is very user friendly, although connection to the remote can be a little laggy TL:DR Easy to use, sturdy, high picture quality
