I have bought many pet heat pads, and this one actually has a true low heat setting. If you are gone during the day or traveling, this consistent low heat setting provides just enough warmth to keep everyone happy and safe. Other pads can get too hot on the lowest setting for sleeping. Ive used it for about 4 months now. The one-star off is due to the heavy vinyl smell from the cover - its something else. I let it off-gas on my porch for a week before plugging in for use.

When I got it, I noticed that the mat was pretty thin. I thought that it was fine, since I read that many other reviewers put blankets over it, since it would get pretty hot. However, the mat I received BARELY got warm, even on the highest setting. It also smelled slightly when I first opened it, so I would recommend airing it out at first. Maybe in a cooler environment, my cats would have used it. But my cats were more interested in the box and plastic it came in.

Works as intended. My cats love it! I have no idea if they try to chew on it, but it looks like not, so if they are chewing, I cant see any marks.

My kitty is getting older and my house is drafty. She was resting on laptops and cable boxes to get warm. I tried regular heating pads for humans, but they certainly arent designed for pets. I worried they would be too warm for a kitty. I love this Pet Heating Pad and so does she! The product description is right... it wont feel really hot to your touch on the surface, but feel underneath it! It gets really warm. Thats how nice it feels under your pet. I left it on 24/7 for the first week until she understood what it was. Now I may need to leave it on 24/7 because she is always on it! I bought a second to keep in another room for her. The controls are nice and you have a variety of timer options to choose from or it can remain on continuously. The cord is really sturdy and a nice length. I am really pleased!

As I run a cat rescue and have several personal cats of my own i purchased 5 of these pads given the positive reviews. They worked well and my cats love them. Fast forward 1 year and 2 of the heating pads are dead. They have not been abused in any way, they are just dead. I contacted the seller and was told over a year, oh well. I find 2 failures out of 5 products appalling. Im just waiting for the rest to start failing. BE AWARE OF DURABILITY ISSUES.

My house is on a crawlspace, so when it gets cold outside the floors really get cold. My cats fine refuge on this nice warm spot.

Our 19 year old cat has always been looked for places to burrow under covers, when her sister was completely comfortable. She loves her warm spot and I dont find her between our bed pillows any more.

The cat comfortable, not aching, says it all. I expected something more fluffy but its not. Didnt matter! The cat loves it. Wife tired it over something soft but I dont recommend it, it crinkles up. Keeping it flat the cat has no issues with it. The temp is comfortable, with 5 different levels. What we like best is the timer option. Choose between multiple times or leave it on continuously. Were very please.

About 8 months ago this was purchased to help keep 4 rescued orphaned kittens warm. Before finding this I was using a traditional heating pad but I was concerned it would get too hot in addition to it having a traditional power cord and having to remember to turn it back on every couple of hours. This solved SO many problems and worked WONDERFULLY! It was a little large but fit into a cat bed so they could really snuggle up, doesnt get too hot as has a option to leave on. Not to mention the power cord is wrapped so the little nibblers couldnt chew it. They soon outgrew it though. Soon 3 of the 4 became foster fails. Recently its gotten chilly and I randomly thought to break it back out for them. Still works perfectly and they love it!

This has a great heat level and is super soft. The cats love it.
