You know what the cutest thing is? Plugging up this pad, placing it on the floor, and being happily surprised when your fur baby discovers it’s warm and settles in for a nap. They love it! I felt the top of it with my bare hands but didn’t feel anything. My fiancé actually laid on it on the floor and said he could feel the warmth. My kitties take turns—forget both of them laying together. They can fit, but they are a little uppity. It is a soft tan, plush-like cover. I have had it a short time so I have not washed it, yet. It has an easy handheld control that is automatically set at a low temperature on the 3rd setting. You can raise or lower the heat. I raise it to 4 and set the timer for 12 hours. You can leave it on or set it up to 24 hours. It’s an easy, one piece item to make your furry ones happy.

I CANT USE THIS BECAUSE IT IS FOR INDOOR ONLY AND I HAVE OUTDOOR CATS. IT IS VERY NICE AND SOFT, AND I HAVE TO RETURN IT. I DIDNT USE IT OR PLUG IT IN.

Both of my cats love this heating mat. I just saw them fight over it for the first time today, so I may need to get a second one in the future. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I really wish it had an automatic setting where it would shut off on its own after a certain amount of hours. We arent always comfortable leaving it on when we arent home because it has to just stay plugged in if you want to use it. The cats still lay on it sometimes when it isnt on, but I wish I had more confidence in leaving it on 24/7 for my kitties. The one thing Im glad for is that it says it only heats to a maximum temperature of about 105°F (7° higher than a humans normal body temp), and it says it self adjusts its temp for energy efficiency when in use (i.e. turns down the heat a little when kittys body heat is added to the warmth). Other than the automatic turnoff feature being missing, Ive got nothing bad to say about it. We are happy customers.

I recently adopted a stray Siamese that went into heat for the first time a few weeks before she was scheduled to be spayed. There wasn’t much anyone could do for her at peak agitation, but the pad seemed to bring some measure of comfort when she was inclined to rest; she chose it over her other usual surfaces. Before ordering this one, I bought a different brand of heating pad from Petco with a fluffier, fleece-like cover that she didn’t seem to care for at all. This pad has a smoother cover, like lamb’s ear (the plant), that she liked right away. Very easy to install and use — just plug it in, the control pad is self-explanatory. The highest setting is comfortably warm to the touch, not too hot. The cover unzips and comes off easily for washing. Every pet purchase is a gamble, of course, but this one worked out.

When Eddy was found he was paralized. It took a year in foster care for him to learn to walk again and gain bowel control. He still has some slipped lumbar discs and walks funny, but with COQ10 supplements and daily walks has helped. Bought this for him and he rarely leaves it. it somewhat fits his regular bed, I wish it was rounded and not rectangular, but we make do. If he gets too hot, he lays over the edge but keeps his hips on the pad.

My cat absolutely adores this heating pad and sleeps on it daily. I am so happy she loved her birthday present.
