This review is of the Noctua NF-A9 PWM, Premium Quiet Fan, 4-Pin (92mm, Brown). From a quality standpoint, they thought of everything - it is ultra high quality in construction. Every little detail to reduce noise has been thought of, from anti-vibration considerations to decibel output. I didnt know squat about Noctua, but its clear to me that they focus on building quality products.

Silent fan, just make sure you pull enough the rubber screw until it clicks, mine pulled to 2 inches and it works, else, it will dettach in time due to vibration. Metal screws is best option if you’re placing this fan on hard to reach places of your case.

I put these on an old Cooler Master Hyper N520 CPU cooler from 2013 to replace noisy aging fans, and now its silent.

Worth every penny. Noctua makes incredible fans. Quiet, move a lot of air, fantastic quality.

This product is very well made and includes all the parts I would need. I used the silicone mounts to install the fan on my desktop computer, and the extension cable to reach the PWM connector on the other end of the motherboard. During the installation, I quickly realized that those silicone anti-vibration pads must be removed in order to use silicone mounts for installation. For some unknown reason I had to restart twice to have the system up and running and recognize the fan in BIOS settings. Now the fan is running smoothly and so quietly in my computer, I dont even notice its running.

I bought this to replace the stock cpu fan in an old dell workstation with an intel xeon. I have it running on full blast all the time and barely hear it. It keeps my cpu temperature under 60 degrees under a 75 watt load. The downside if youre considering using it in a dell computer is the connectors dont match up so you need to buy a dongle (like a smart person would) or use jumper wires (like I do).

I understand why these fans cost what they do. Theyre absolutely silent running at 30% and lower, and still extremely quiet and pleasant sounding at higher RPMs (nice low pitch, no whining, and still very quiet). At 30% and lower, I cannot hear anything. I can feel the air hitting my eardrum if I stick my head in the case, but thats it. These fans are impeccable.

I switched out all my fans and the CPU cooler for Noctua products. Under no load I cant hear the system at all. At full load its whisper quiet. Need I say more?

Bought this as an upgrade from the slim fan on my Nh l9i. Works ways better and is quiet. Only complaint is it didnt go on the cooler very easy. But Im sure it wasnt suppose to so thats on me. Great fan from noctua
