Greater than one weekIm currently in the process of building an ultra small expandable PC, and I had purchased a Noctua NH-l9i cpu cooler. I had been able to achieve a stable clock rate of 4.6 GHz, unfortunately in testing the cpu would hit the thermal throttling point. I wanted to see if I could push the overclocking boundary a bit, so I replaced the thin fan with this one. Theoretically, this should have worked. This fan has a higher CFM rating as well as a higher static pressure rating. In actual use, this was not the case. In the end, Ive returned to the thin fan. Now Just because this fan didnt meet my particular needs, Im not knocking it too much. If what you need is a smallish fan to quietly move lots of air, this will do the trick nicely.

> 3 dayFar superior product over the cooler master cooler that it replaced. The fan on my cooler master Gemini low profile cpu cooler has stopped working right outside of the warranty. Perfect replacement! The fan is a waaayyy better value, and super quiet!

> 3 dayI got a great deal on a refurbished HP rp5800 at Micro Center for 120 dollars although the CPU fan it came with was starting to show its age and making a loud whirring noise and a year later a grinding noise. So I knew that the OEM CPU fan was on its way out and decided to replace it with this 92mm 4 pin Noctua fan I have heard many positive things about Noctua and decided to give them a shot. They really do live up to their name and is whisper quiet while also producing more air. Please note that if you decide to replace your OEM CPU in just about any prebuilt make sure that you buy a 4 pin fan and not the 3 pin otherwise it will stay at a very high rpm and also be very noisy.

Greater than one weekQuiet as usual, but the fan frame is warped, not planar. Had to shim it in order to sit tight on the mounting face. This is what happens when legends are formed: quality goes down. Shame.

> 3 dayI bought this to replace the stock cpu fan in an old dell workstation with an intel xeon. I have it running on full blast all the time and barely hear it. It keeps my cpu temperature under 60 degrees under a 75 watt load. The downside if youre considering using it in a dell computer is the connectors dont match up so you need to buy a dongle (like a smart person would) or use jumper wires (like I do).
