> 3 dayIm so impressed with this fan. I decided to build a gaming PC but wanted it small, so went with the Thermaltake Core V1 case and a mini ITX Z97 board with i5-4690K so I could overclock. I was going to do a self contained water cooler but all the ones around $100 had so so reviews, with most people replacing the fan on the radiator with a Noctua one anyway. So thought Id take a chance and just go air cooling. The fan in the photo looks small but its still huge. Fits fine in my case with the fan under the radiator vs on top like in the photos (it supports both methods as well as adding a second fan). I overclocked my system from 3.5Ghz to 4.2Ghz and on idle Im running around 26-29 degrees C and when using 100% under Prime95 for stress testing I never go over 59. Highest Ive ever seen it hit was 61. Even when on full at 59 degrees the fan is insanely quiet, to the point that I had to turn the TV right off to try and hear it. With the system on the floor you cant hear it at all. Very impressed and highly recommended. Photo shows my rig with it installed to show the size.

> 3 dayNot good enough for a i9 13900K, as the temperature spike uncomfortably high and the fans keep on spinning too fast with every other effort by the CPU, but very compact and probably great with processors that produce less heat. Go for the NH-D15 if you have a power hungry 13th gen top processor, those are up to the task in a well ventilated case.

> 3 dayI purchased this CPU cooler based on the reputation of the company and other user reviews on multiple sites. It appears to be working well with my high end i7 processor. The fan is super quiet which is a definite plus.

> 3 dayFirst Noctua cooler and very easy to install. One recommendation would be to verify if there are any compatibility with motherboard, case and ram. During the installation in Fractal Design Torrent Nano, needed to rotate the cooler 180 degrees BUT cannot install an exhaust fan in the case due to the size of the cooler.

24-11-2024This consumer removed the stock fan and replaced with RGB fan. Now he has performance and appeal. This worked out exactly how I wanted it too, let the noctua cooler do its job which we already know can do its job real well but now it looks good while doing it placed it on my 1600x and no problems rose

> 3 dayFit perfectly on my Asus Prime z370-a mobo for an Intel i7-8700k cpu, inside a Corsair Spec-Alpha case. Super quiet. I added a second fan to it and I can still use all of the memory slots.

Greater than one weekHave it In a corsair crystal 460x case cooling a 3820 I7. Temps are 50c on load, they occasionally. go up to 52-53. Also have it on a i7 7700k in a Corsair 750d plenty of room. Keeps temps around 71 on max load. I dont have any other coolers to compare to as this is the only one I ever buy.

Greater than one weekThis cooler was a fantastic choice for my mini-itx build. Currently paired with a ryzen 5 3600 and it idles at 35°C. In a mini-itx build that is outstanding. The interchangeable design was the only reason I was able to fit this cooler into such a small build. Standing at only 115mm with the 140mm fan on the bottom allowed me enough clearance for my ripjaws V ram plus some smaller cables. Of course since were talking about noctua, theres is little to no audible sound at idle will only hearing a slight hum at full load. Temps at 100% maxed out at 75°C. This cooler is well worth the premium price.

Greater than one weekGood size for medium to large case. I was putting it in a Kolink case which is on the smaller end of medium and it was a very tight squeeze. Works like a charm though so once its in it stays. Very efficient cooler. I highly recommend it.
