Amazing projector for the cost. I’m a gamer and the latency on this projector when in “enhanced gaming mode” is virtually unnoticeable. The picture is incredible and the brightness makes it useful even in daylight. Very easy setup as well. I don’t even use a screen, just a wall, and the quality is phenomenal. I spent weeks researching my options, landed here and don’t regret my purchase at all. Worth every cent!

This is not really a review, though I did purchase Optoma GT1080HDR Short Throw Gaming Projector, but the unit that I got... not sure what was it... my suspicion is that the unit that I got had some wrong firmware in it, otherwise Im not sure how anyone would be using these, and these projectors definitely has some good reviews. To start - the projector did not have ANY ways to control image quality, not even basic brightness/contrast - zero. I downloaded the manual from the official site - and my unit did not have 90% of the menu options listed in the manual. I thought that may be the options depend on the source, connected to the projector - this sometimes happen, though in my opinion this is not a way to go - so - I tried to connect something to HDMI ports... and failed. I was not able to make the projector recognize anything connected to any of the two HDMI ports, while connecting the same sources to a monitor worked perfectly. At this point I decided the further experiments are useless and returned the unit, as the projector also showed signed of potential overheating. Thanks to amazon prime - the return went smoothly, but I did wait more that two weeks for the moneyback, which was resolved only after I contacted amazon directly. So, the conclusion is that I was shocked by the level of quality control from the company - this is not a cheap device and people expect certain level of quality. My overall experience was really bad, and I probably will not even consider buying Optoma again... I know that they can produce good projector - I originally went for that model as my friend has Optoma and does not have any issue with it... but apparently this is a gamble and whoever is purchasing these projectors should be aware of that, as in my opinion - if quality control is this bad in this area - where it is that obvious, you can only guess what is the quality control for the internal components, where the issues can not be identified immediately.

I replaced an Epsom with this projector for the gaming part and it works wonders compared to the Epson. I also like the short throw, and picture it produces.

Works great! It was advertised that it was supposed to come with a carrying case. However, there was no carrying case in either box. I contacted amazon and they got it figured out within a few minutes. Great customer service!
