nice bright image for a living room projector with limited ambient light control. A little louder than my Epson HC3500. No lens shift. Single chip DLP. Some people see the rainbow effect when they turn their head while watching the screen, but not too many.

Very good projector, better than its predasessor even when in eco mode which I reccomend. Still plenty bright with a good picture quality.

It’s a nice and bright projection, and it’s quiet. I found it easier to set up then older models had been in the past. With the no interest Amazon Payments, it’s well worth the purchase.

Purchased July 2022. The projector is a part of our golf simulator. After sitting idle/powered off for a couple months the projector failed to power up recently, 11-23-2022. Tried all reset procedures. Reached out to Amazon and the unit could only be returned by August 23, 2022. Thought we did our homework but obviously we missed something....$1,000 for no more than 2 months of use. I have reached out to Optoma via their contact us. Time will tell if they make it right.

Ok first things first, I get my delivery, open the box after a few days, looks like a new machine, but I dont have a lens cover, I thought that was a standard piece of the projector to cover the lens when not in use. Now lets get to the projector. The Hd39HDR Optima Projector. Like I said Im a new projector owner, I have always dreamed of having a setup like this at home since this is what I really like doing. Right now Im watching the Nets vs. the Hawks on my 92 inch Elite screen. But lets get back to taking it out of the box and sitting it on a table in my basement turning it on and being amazed by the picture it showed on my wall (white walls). The picture is sharp and bright. I have a basement that has a backyard patio door, lots of light in here, but yet I can still watch during daytime hours, so I guess that means it has bright picture, the picture was sharp on the wall before I put the screen up. Havent had a chance to mount it yet so its still sitting on the table and with the screen the picture is even better. But this machine is not 4k, but it does give you a nice HDR picture. So far I really like this projector. Ill let you know how it goes with mounting it to the ceiling. But I still have to ask where is my lens cap?

Ive been going through The Witcher 3 on an admittedly kind of dinky home projector (Vankyos Cinemango, very good considering its very very low price) and, oh my god, what have I been missing. The picture quality is incredible. As long as youre using it in a fairly small place, this is about 10 times what I paid for the last projector and (subjectively) about 20 times better of an experience.

So I had a cheap Wimius projector I got for like $200. When I turned this projector on, it completely made the Wimius projectors picture disappear, thats how bright it is. This is True 4000 Ansi Lumens it is BRIGHT. The colors are vivid and beautiful. Its well worth the money. I also saw in the reviews the audio isnt good. I leave my volume on 1, its more than enough for a bedroom or living room. Anything more than 1 is kinda too loud for me. Obviously there are better prjectors out there in the $1000+ range but this projector will blow your mind if youre new to projectors. It looks just as good as my 4k 240hz UHD Samsung TV. Only complaint is, it get HOT. Almost too hot to touch. But that can be expected since its a damn light cannon!

I don’t know why this projector gets lots of good reviews but I really don’t like because of its picture quality. It was super grainy with bad color. It almost felt like I was watching a bigger version of a low quality video. And the machine is heavy and extremely hot when projecting. I don’t think it’s anything that I expected. They shipped me with one without lens cap so I had to buy a cap myself. Be careful if you have a high expectation on picture quality. This is no way what you want.

This is a GREAT projector, especially for the money. Its quiet, can be used in a room with the lights on, and has a crisp picture with good color. The ONLY thing Id say is that the refresh rate blurs rapid movement in video games such as call of duty or sports games such as Madden. Youll get used to it fairly quickly, but it is an adjustment and you have just a beat less time to react. Movies HD and above look absolutely fantastic.
