Oreck XL Vacuums Best Roller (1 Brush & 3 Belts)

Looks like an exact replacement. It has been working perfectly for months. No problems.

I’m so glad I got these parts. I’ve had my oreck for several years and though it was serviced many years ago the roller gets clogged with our hair and needs to be cleaned out. I googled: how to clean oreck roller and a you tube video came up on how to change the roller. It looked pretty easy and my roller was in bad shape. So I checked the price and found a new roller and three belts for a decent price. When I got them it literally took 10 minutes to replace the old roller and belt. What a difference it makes I would not hesitate to get a new roller when this one wears out.

My mom has had an Oreck for years, and most of that time its been in a closet because its too hard to push and the belt would smell burnt after a short use. When she told me that I did some quick research. Orecks (and most vacuums) are very simple machines. The bearings on the roller were worn out, so I ordered this combo and replaced the brush & belt. Good as new now!

Perfect size and works great. Suction power has been great as well and it is very easy to install and take out as well. Works great in my Oreck XL vacuum I found for college.

I was almost going to take my 12 year old Oreck XL (great vacuum) to a vacuum repair shop, but decided to take it apart myself and take a stab at it. Turns out it was pretty easy to figure out the problem. The roller had so much hair and lint and string caught in the turn-y pieces that it couldnt turn anymore, and was burning up belts. I cleaned out what I could but it still wouldnt turn as easily as it should. I am sure the lubrication in the turny pieces was gone after so many years and that there was more stuff stuck in there I couldnt reach. I ordered this, snapped it in place, replaced the belt and my vacuum works like new - in fact I forgot how great my vacuum was, as it had probably been working sub-optimally for a couple years. Ive seen some people complain that Oreck didnt make a roller that could prevent this problem from happening in the first place, but in my opinion a $12 replacement part after over a decade of regular use is a small price to pay to keep my vacuum working well. Im happy.

Appears to be well made. Havent yet installed it on the sweeper.
