> 24 hourI bought an REI 60 Lts backpack but realized it’s not a good option for a beginner like me. Ended up buying this backpack and this is PERFECT!!!

> 24 hourGreat comfortable, light pack. The anti-gravity suspension system works and breathes well. Occasional squeaking but nothing particularly noteworthy. Abundant space to overpack, so I need to check myself with a scale. Love the fact the top is detachable, but do consider if opting to leave it at home that the pack’s folded-up rain cover lives there. This pack travels as well as you pack it. The first trip I took felt awful because I had the weight distributed all wrong-- heavy stuff (tent) hanging off the bottom, stuff strapped to the outside, and 1.5L nalgenes stuffed into the side pockets. After shedding an unnecessary 15 lbs and redistributing the load, my joy factor doubled. WARNING: I have a 33/34 waist. The belt is actually TOO BIG for me on the Large sized pack. Im going to need to gain some weight, lolz, or find a way to buffer my hips. Two days into a backpacking trip, and the Atmos AG 65 was slipping down my backside. Really think things through carefully if youre on the M / L sizing boundary. Caveat: Last backpack I purchased was an early 1980s Jansport external frame model... when I was a pre-teen.

> 24 hourBuying a highly related $270 backpack, I naively thought it would a decent all-arounder. Turns out that its really bad at handling loads heavier than 40+- lbs. Did a 4 days 40 miles loop in the Cascades. First day was bearable, but by the second I had shoulder and neck pain and my skin around both sides of my hips almost started bleeding (see photo). Im not a novice to backpacking, nor am I a thin guy; the load really wasnt that heavy but, the suspension system on this backpack prioritizes ventilation over ergonomics and long-distance hauling ability. There are many great things about it so I might keep it for short, summer time overnight trips - as the ventilation system does work quite well - but would never depend on it for 4-5 days trips.

> 24 hourThis was my first GOOD pack. It has more room than my previous 65l. The waist belt makes all the difference in the world. Comfort is through the roof, and the deciding factor was ospreys warranty. This will probably be the last pack I have to purchase

> 24 hourUsed it on the AT two after receiving it and had no problems. Great adjustments to maximize comfort even when fully loaded. Looking forward to many more hikes.

> 24 hourI noticed improvements right away. The mesh pocket has stronger material. There are more adjustments like for my torso length. The way the straps are spaced is a wider swoop for my wide shoulders. The kidney pads will adjust to fit better, too. It’s all about comfort when you are wearing 50lbs of stuff on your back. The only thing I wish is that it came with a sticker. Anyone know how I can get an Osprey sticker?!?

> 24 hourOsprey makes a great, comfortable pack. I use this pack now more than my 36 liter stratos. Lots of room for my kind of cold weather hiking. Have not been backpacking with it yet. And, I waited awhile and got a good buy on it.
