Osprey Atmos AG 65 Mens Backpacking Backpack

> 3 dayThis pack replaces an old pack with a metal frame from the 1970s, so for me, it is like going from a broken down truck to a Lexus. Watch the video on the product page--I wont even attempt to describe all the various pockets and storage areas on this pack. Its got a place for everything. But my favorite thing about the pack is the design. Empty it weighs about 6 lbs, full it varies, but the hip belt rests on the hips so that your hips are bearing a lot of the weight of the pack, rather than your back and shoulders. It makes the pack feel so much lighter and so doesnt stress your body as much. This pack is intended for use on a weekend up to 7+ days. The sizing of small, medium, large and extra large have nothing to do with the size of the pack but a neck vertebrae to hip line measurement that makes it fit well. Go to the Osprey website to see how to measure and order the corresponding size you need. This is an essential step for enjoying the benefits of this spectacular pack. There is also netting that holds it away from your back and straps that are well-padded and adjustable as well. The hip belt adjusts as well. This pack is guaranteed for the life of the original owner. If anything breaks, they will fix it or replace it. But dont expect to collect on the guarantee anytime soon. This pack is so well made. The Osprey Atmos AG 65 pack is expensive but worth the investment. If you camp out for a few nights instead of staying in a Super 8, youve already paid for it. Five stars without any hesitation.

> 3 dayI purchased this Atmos 65L for an upcoming section hike on the Appalachian Trail in April. I loaded it up with a light load of about 22 pounds and took it on a test hike of about 6 miles at the state park near me. The features on the pack are great. I really liked the suspension system on this pack and it keeps it off you back so you get some air flow along your back. Will update after my 4 day section hike to see how it performs over a few days.

> 3 dayIt is amazing, but it is too big if you think to travel with it as a carry-on.

> 3 dayI got this pack in early 2020 and took it on several trips ranging from 20 to 40 miles in length. I’ve used several backpacks over the years in the scouts and hiking for over a decade as an adult (read: big kid). This is, hands down, the best fitting and most comfortable pack that I’ve ever used. Period. As long as you stay within the recommended weight range, this thing feels like you’re carrying twenty pounds less that you’re actually are. The waist straps are thick and very well padded, the shoulder straps as well. It’s very easy to adjust to fit your exact body shape and does an incredible job of spreading the load across your body and transferring down to your hips. It’s fairly light weight, even if not ultralight, and seems quite durable. I’d argue it’s worth every ounce, even if you’re aiming for ultralight otherwise. You just can’t beat the comfort it affords! I run hot and tend to sweat profusely when packing in any climate just from moving so much- like drenched back levels of sweat. So I was fascinated by the mesh back suspension and the prospect of better airflow to keep my back dry... Overall it works rather well! I still build up some moisture but I no longer have to stop and air out my back to keep comfortable. This was really nice during colder trips when that extra sweat really saps your body heat when you stop for a break.

> 3 dayVery great backpack for backpacking the anti-gravity suspension is amazing, the lid is removable and this pack has all the bells and whistles. Very durable with an almighty lifetime guarantee. Not the lightest pack but definitely not the heaviest especially with the AG suspension. I’ve took this pack on a 13 day backpacking trip and it preforms amazing. YouTube-HIKER RAY
