> 3 dayIt was not until I got the product did I learn that I would have to reconfig my router to separately name each band (2.4/5) and then be faced with spending an hour reconnecting all the other wireless devices in my home to reconnect to the new names--everything from thermostat to multiple laptops/tablet, phones, tvs, etc. For 3 weeks of turning off xmas lites from inside with Alexa, adding this device would have been a terrible trade-off of my time to use. Vendor does have good detailed instructions in box but does not make it clear on AMZ site, you will obsolete all the rest of your wifi network

> 3 dayWe love it, just need to get a wifi extender. We had this hooked up in our garage, so occasionally it would disconnect from our wifi. Other than that, my daughter loved it that she could tell Alexa to turn them on, when the schedule didnt work because the connection was lost.

Greater than one weekIt took a little longer to set up than I thought but, but could be my fault. It does work very well. I can use the Alexa app on my phone to turn it on and off.
