16-11-2024This is a really good monitor for what it costs. Very fast and seems to have good color accuracy. Menu navigation and power button leave a decent amount to be desired along with the power cord being WAY shorter than it should be. Despite these issues it’s a great monitor and would highly recommend. If the monitor has trouble connecting to DisplayPort at all, I found that reconnecting power to the monitor helped sometimes.

> 3 daySo I built my first pc and knew I needed a monitor. I was suggested to buy this. It was a great price and had some great reviews. I can agree with almost every great review. The product is amazing, but there are some things to be said. My monitor arrived 4 days late. Instead of a remote or button, there is a joystick in the back. Instead of a paper Manuel to try to learn how to use that joystick, you have to go online. I really don’t like the joystick because it wasn’t working eight away for me. I just wanted to change the input lol, but I couldn’t. So all in all, great monitor, looks great, but has a weird joystick. I will leave an update if anything changes.

> 3 dayWhen my friend recommended Pixio to me I was a bit hesitant because of their price tag. However, I bit the bullet and bought the monitor when it was on sale. The picture is crisp and the settings allow for a rather dynamic set of changes. You can also save different profiles into the monitor itself so you can easily have a few different picture modes along side the ones that come standard. The on-screen FPS display is a bit too big for my liking, but its still cool they include the feature. The crosshair is super useful, since it can not only be re-positioned, but theres a few variations on the style too. No more putting a piece of tape on the screen and drawing a dot here, and no need to buy some silly laser-dot string to put on your monitor either. Theres also a timer built into the screen but I havent actually made use of that just yet. All in all, its a great monitor and well worth the money, sale or not. But do pay attention to which model youre buying. The 248 and 248S are almost identical, but the 248S is a bit smaller in height (like 2-4cm or so) and has a higher refresh rate (144hz vs this one at 120).

> 3 dayIts an amazing looking moniter, but its sort of pixely in dark videos/games. Update: I just got a better computer and now its great! The darker light is t pixelated anymore. Great, and cheap product

> 3 dayThe good: -No dead pixels, or any other significant defects, on my sample. -Extremely low input/processing latency. -Solid OSD options, including a usefully granular black boost control. -Stand is sturdier than I was expecting. -Better contrast and blacks than virtually any TN or IPS panel without FALD. -Minimal black crush. -VRR (VESA Adaptive Sync/Freesync/G-Sync) works. -165Hz refresh rate without VRR, 48-144Hz with it. -Thin overall, minimal bezel, and no-nonsense styling. The bad: -Absurd dead pixel policy of 99.99% guaranteed working pixels...which means almost 400 of them can be defective before the display is eligible for warranty. -Contrast relatively poor for a VA panel; closer to 2000:1 static than advertised 3000:1. -Default settings no where near accurate; needs considerable adjustment for best results. -Response time borderline for 144Hz+. -Noticeable overshoot ghosting on highest overdrive setting. -Mild color uniformity issues. -Cheap screws for stand; stripped the heads on at least one of them first install. In the end, I would definitely recommend this display to anyone looking for a solid gaming and general use experience on a 32 1440p display without spending a fortune. Its one of only two non-curved display lines with these specs that Ive been able to find, and Ive had better experiences with this one.

> 3 day1st things 1st, have been an Amazon customer for more than 15 years and this may be my first review. Why? Because I took a chance on this fairly unknown monitor and wanted to inform future potential buyers. So the first one arrived DOA, no physical damage, just a scrambled screen. Amazon had a replacement in my hands two days later and wow...going from a 24 inch 1080p monitor to this monster was a huge jump. Running 2xGTX970 in SLI and saw about a 20fps hit from 1080 to 1440p (Currently 80fps on BF V High settings). - No dead pixels - Fairly easy set up for anyone with half a brain (instructions are almost worthless) - Used an Ivanksy DP cable as others have said the included one was trash, be careful not to strip the small screws in the stand - 165hz causes some heavy ghosting in text, but not very noticeable in game (BF V), dropped it to 144hz and text is better -Color and contrast is much better than my ASUS VG248QE (TN) - OSD is fine, gets er done - Bezel is small but not the smallest, no gamer type aesthetics (A good thing) I read a bunch of reviews of people with these elite standards (Haters) and as someone who games regularly, works occasionally, this monitor more than serves my purpose. I dont need some response time only a sensor can recognize or professional colors that I would never notice. So after only 3 days it seems like a real win. I will update this review if I have any issues in the future.

> 3 day144hz, 1ms, simple and clean looking. I love it a lot. But I dont know if its a flaw or not so Ill just say it here. Occasionally I want to play my switch and call someone on discord. So I would switch hdmi and I would be able to call and play games. Though if you turn off the switch before switching back to pc, the display cable for the pc renders as no signal. I try switching out the cables and it works but if I do the same mistake, it renders the display cable as useless again which is really annoying.

16-11-2024So I took a chance and ordered this pixio monitor based off a good reviews I had seen. When the monitor arrived, to say the least I was not disappointed. The picture quality is great (far better than a tn panel) and the price is unbeatable for the specs you get. However, I did have an issue with the stand being loose even with all the mounting bolts tightened down. So rather than return to amazon I reached out to pixio and explained the issue. I received a personalized (not an auto) email response in less than 24 hours. The representative immediately offered a replacement stand and asked that I register my product and fill out a simple rma form. After I submitted my forms I then received confirmation that my item would be shipped, but to my surprise I received the replacement stand the very next day. I have since installed the new stand which resolved all issues with the previous one. Dealing with pixio is hands down the best and easiest customer service experience I’ve had. I now have faith that if something is to go wrong in the future that pixio will stand by their warranty. If your reading this review and are hesitant to try a pixio, don’t be. Let my testimony help you make the right decision. There are other similar panels on the market from more well known companies, but most have tn panels/less features and are more expensive. The Pixio monitors truly represent a great value in the market. If I need a second monitor down the line pixio will be what I get.

Greater than one weekWell I didn’t do very much research before buying this and now I regret that. The response time on this monitor is horrible. During normal usage(eg. scrolling on chrome) the ghosting is pretty apparent. When playing games, especially fps that have dark areas(like CoD), the ghosting is horrible. Even with the overdrive setting to the max it was still pretty bad, although the setting change did help a little. Overall I’d say if you are a competitive gamer or just want something quality that looks nice, this is not the monitor for you, even for a good price this isn’t worth it. For people who aren’t using this for gaming or fast paced things it might work, because the picture quality and brightness were decent, along with no dead pixels. In the end you’d probably be much better off with an asus for the same price. I ended up returning mine because the ghosting makes it not much better than a 60 or 100hz monitor
