Have to say I was skeptical. This is not a Korean monitor if anyone is wondering. It’s a company in Cali but still small nonetheless. When I got the packaging open I was pleased to see the amount of foam protecting my monitor. The monitor stand while not adjustable is completely solid and made of metal I did not expect this and was absolutely impressed because I didn’t even get a metal stand for my 700 dollar ultrawide that’s in my bedroom. Got everything put together with the bolts provided which are very easy to work with. Now came the moment of truth turning the monitor on was kind of a moment I was fearing because you never know what kind of problems can happen with the panel. Turned my computer on and the monitor fired right up. I let out a sigh of relief because Everything was perfect. No dead pixels. No uneven backlighting. No strobing. No problems! I am absolutely shocked and pleased with this purchase. I can’t belive this kind of quality that beat out lg and Samsung (both are high dollar past purchases for me) came from a small company in Cali. Good job pixio team. You built a great product and you just earned a repeat buyer.

Works decent, it is MPRT, so its not true 1ms response. Not as good as a TN or IPS panel. Dead pixels after 1 week, which they say is expected. Its honestly not acceptable. I had a BenQ for over a year with not a single dead pixel. Will purchase something else and use this as a second monitor. IF you are looking for a main monitor, go with something else. IPS or TN panel. BenQ recommended. You pay for what you get i guess.

This may sound trivial but monitor doesnt have an on and off button, for my application that is very inconvenient because i use it in a two monitor system. in order to get best use out of it i have to unplug the power cord to allow my video card to sync my other monitor. I am also not crazy about the one button on screen tuning would have liked to have had a remote with on off and on screen tuning, the button on the back of the monitor is very inconvenient for my setup as i have to resync this monitor often. Just my 2 cents worth but if your getting it for a 2 monitor system i wouldnt recommend it. picture quality is good and refresh is good just the above mentioned inconvenience for me.

I just got this PX243 monitor a few days ago (October 2022). There are no dead pixels, and no defects except for some tiny physical aberration right in the middle of the monitor. At first I thought it was a dark pixel, but I can feel some tiny physical issue there. Fortunately, this issue is probably 1-2 pixels in size and only shows up (light grey) on white. As I write this review I can see it right above where Im typing. I did not ding it after receiving it. This is why Ive rated this 4/5. All the HDMI/DP ports function for my needs (60Hz to 3 computers), but I have tested 165Hz to my gaming PC. It works fine. I will consider keeping that in place. One thing I have no idea if its an issue or not, is related to scrolling text in a dark mode Windows 10 Settings panel. When I scroll, all of the text effectively becomes invisible until I stop scrolling. Default font, etc. I do have brightness on the monitor turned all the way down. But on my older Dell 2410 (with brightness down), when I scroll the text remains fully visible. I have no idea if this can be tuned. I think this is due to the fact its a VA panel. It seems like the black color of the Windows Dark Mode Theme is partially to blame. Ubuntu uses more greys for its dark mode, and the issue is not as apparent there. Audio output is fine. I have no issues with it, but Im not an audiophile. I dont notice any pops or noise. I mounted this to a VESA stand. Notably, the standard VESA screws provided (M4-12) are too long for my VESA mount. I had to buy M4-10 machine screws to fit to the VESA mounting plate. Otherwise the monitor was loose. Yes, it is a VESA mount. No, I did not do anything wrong when connecting it. I will update this review over time.

The the rocker button (which switches modes and makes adjustments) did nothing beyond powering the monitor on and off. I returned it for replacement only to have Pixio inform me that there was nothing wrong with it. This can only mean one of three things: a.) The product was not defective and the monitor is designed in a way that you cant access the menu and switch modes unless it is already both connected to a device and transmitting the said device on the display. In which case, youre damned if you dont have an HDMI device/cable on standby since HDMI is the default selected mode. [My 32 Omen gaming monitor does not require this.] b.) The product was defective and they repaired it. And since they cant get the same amount of money for a refurbished product on the market, nor was I willing to accept a repair for a DOA product that I paid full price for, they rather just lie to me and say there was nothing wrong with it so they can avoid giving me a new monitor as a replacement. c.) The product was defective and it simply got mixed up with another one and the one they inspected wasnt actually mine. Whichever scenario this case may be, this product should be avoided. I give it 4 stars instead of 1 since they gave me a full refund. Feel free to buy this product but be sure to not dispose of the box and packaging material. Youre probably gonna need it.

Pretty good quality overall, but the light bleed (atleast on my unit) is god awful. Its mostly only an issue with dark backgrounds but i can still notice the bleed on the bottom left corner pretty much 90% of the time regardless of what Im doing. Other than that it seems well made and has a good picture.

Picture quality is good but the built in speakers are absolutely rubbish. If you have other audio devices, this monitor is fine.

If all you want is a big display with high refresh rate and freesync, this is a good option. My only complaints is a lack of brightness (doesnt get too bright) and only getting 8-bit display color vs 10 for my old monitor. Very happy with $300 for this compared to $500+ for a high quality option at the same size. Also, the VESA mount isnt centered, which makes mounting it along with other displays harder. However, I am happy that it at least has the option for the mount.

I had an acer 144hz 1080p monitor before I purchased this and the picture quality on that was great. The colors on this seems to lack for some reason. Also the clarity/sharpness is a bit dull as well. Im not sure if I got a faulty monitor but I might be returning it. I feel as if I downgraded from the acer. I really want to like this monitor since it looks clean AF with the thin bezels etc but after watching numerous videos and couple days of usage I can tell the colors and sharpness is lacking. Price is great so theres no complaints there, but I just expected picture colors and picture quality. Id give it a 4/5.

    Greater than one week

Colors and movement on the screen are very sharp. Good for everyday gaming or just watching YouTube
