Talk about a blast from the past! I have played Pokemon since the first games came out. Red was my first game and every generation gets better and better. Ruby and Sapphire were my favorites back when they came out, then Emerald came out and that became my favorite, since it had new features and some other things I liked. I had read about these back in July of this year, and it made me get a 3DS on the same day they were released! Although it took me like 3 days of nonstop playing to defeat the E4, they seem a lot better than the originals. I did not play X or Y, or Black/White 2 so I was missing a lot of the new things that changed. The Delta episode in this game was amazing. I have only played Omega Ruby, but will play this soon. So if Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald were enjoyable for you, you will like this a lot better!

Its no secret that Nintendo and Game Freak had a lot to live up to when they choose to remake the iconic generation 3 highlights. Thankfully, they not only updated the original games but enhanced them with the conveniences of more modern Pokemon titles. There are abundant secrets and places to explore that make this game a fantastic journey throughout. Pros: - Soaring through the skies on that back of the Latis is ridiculously fun and entertaining. - The Hoenn region has been faithfully recreated and looks absolutely stunning. - The Delta Episode, while short, is quite entertaining and helps wrap the main story up. - Many Pokemon from other regions make their appearance across Hoenn after the National Dex is unlocked. - Beautifully orchestrated music that stays faithful to the original. Cons: - The post-game is somewhat lacking, with the Battle Frontier from Emerald not appearing. - The game can be a little repetitive at times, especially near the mid game. - Overuse of HMs can be tedious at times. I wholeheartedly recommend you take a look at these games if you are a fan of the originals, and even if you are new the Pokemon crowd; Its a blast either way.

I have been playing pokemon for god knows how long now, and the games never get old. In fact, sapphire was my favorite game out of the entire collection so far, other than the original blue version, which will always be my first and favorite. Ill admit, I was a little nervous when they made mega evolutions for pokemon, seeing as this is kind of another way to keep the game interesting, but my doubts were unfounded, as the game is as great as ever. Of course, I own Omega Ruby also, but either game is worth the price and is definitely one of the best they have remade. Another cool feature that they added was being able to catch the legendaries from other games, although you cant catch the ones from X or Y. Other than that, i would recommend this game to any pokemon fan out there.

This is just a really enjoyable game, and a fantastic remake. It has all the nostalgia you could ask for while still looking great in 3D. Its still very similar to the original games but puts cool twists, and the new features are so much fun, especially the PokeNav Plus and the Super Secret Bases. I love that this game allows you to collect every single Pokemon in the National Pokedex within a single generation of games. While the middle of the game lulls a bit, the beginning and towards the end are so immersive i couldnt put the game down for weeks.

Ive been playing pokemon since I got Pokemon Blue in kindergarten, Ive played about every generation and all the remakes and this one is pretty close to being the best, if not the best. While Firered and Heartgold seemed repetitive and dumbed down compared to the original versions of Red and Gold, Alpha Sapphire really breathed new live into the old gameboy advanced games. The graphics are beautiful and bright, I would say even better than X and Y and the online features are really fun. The return of secret bases was also something I was looking forward to and I love the street pass integration. The only down side is that the games have gotten easier but I feel like every video game series has. So whether its you first pokemon game or your 10th I highly recommend it.

The original Sapphire is my third favorite Pokemon game in the franchise behind Gold in first and Red in second. And this updated version makes it even better! With better graphics. The updated moves/types. Even the new Mega Evolutions implemented in this. This game was outstanding. Plus theres even a story after the main story but I wont go into that because of spoilers but it was fantastic. What a great game to get ready and prepare the wait for Pokemon Sun and Moon!

There isn’t an issue with the foreign variant of this game. The only difference between, the US version and this version, is the little circle that says it’s from Malaysia on it. That’s the only difference. The game itself works great, it saves and I’m able to go online, and trade Pokémon with others and my other 3ds.
