I loved the first version of this game. The new pokedex features were awesome. One thing I disliked was how easy they made catching legendary pokemon. Another thing I disliked was the incessant rambling and cut-scenes. I also hated running back and forth for the last challenge after the Pokemon league. Again, the cut-scenes made it almost unbearable and almost ruined the game for me. In the originals, I loved the way the character walked. I thought it was adorable. Also, you cant act like youre sleeping in your bed at home, or relaxing in the mud at Lavaridge town like you could before. I loved those little details and was very disappointed to see them go. -PokeFangirl

NOSTALGIA! NOSTALGIA! NOSTALGIA! Oh, did I say this game has NOSTALGIA!? I did? Then my apologies, but I had to stress that. Im one of those people who after Gen IV said, No thanks to Pokémon. But guess what? Nintendo/ Game Freak just had to come up with a $40 bundle of NOSTALGIA! Pros: -3D Remake of RSE [Gen 3] -Gen 3 with Gen 6 features -DEXNAV DEXNAV DEXNAV -Super Training for EV training -Just imagine it, your freshly hatched level 1 Treecko with 252 special attack EVs, 252 speed EVs, and 4 special defense EVs -Mega Evolutions -Latias -Gen 3 with proper phys/spec stat split -Gen 3 with Gen 6 shiny rate -Gen 3 with Internet play <3 -Gen 3 was blessed by Lord Helix Con: -You will occasionally encounter the terribad post Gen 4 Pokémon Neutral: -Exp Share makes the game a breeze

Its no secret that Nintendo and Game Freak had a lot to live up to when they choose to remake the iconic generation 3 highlights. Thankfully, they not only updated the original games but enhanced them with the conveniences of more modern Pokemon titles. There are abundant secrets and places to explore that make this game a fantastic journey throughout. Pros: - Soaring through the skies on that back of the Latis is ridiculously fun and entertaining. - The Hoenn region has been faithfully recreated and looks absolutely stunning. - The Delta Episode, while short, is quite entertaining and helps wrap the main story up. - Many Pokemon from other regions make their appearance across Hoenn after the National Dex is unlocked. - Beautifully orchestrated music that stays faithful to the original. Cons: - The post-game is somewhat lacking, with the Battle Frontier from Emerald not appearing. - The game can be a little repetitive at times, especially near the mid game. - Overuse of HMs can be tedious at times. I wholeheartedly recommend you take a look at these games if you are a fan of the originals, and even if you are new the Pokemon crowd; Its a blast either way.

This game is just plain fun. It is evocative of the old game which it honours and kept everything that made it great. Its wonderful to be able to go and make a secret base again, and to have fun with the contests, and pick berries (although the repetitive unskippable dialogs for some of these things make it tedious sometimes, but that is a problem with pokemon games in general, and a rather minor one). It is incredibly fun to explore Hoenn again and the new mechanics such as Mega-evolution and wonder trade are very fun. There is plenty to do, and, take this as you will, you dont realise just how long youve been playing until you check the clock. Pokemon earned their five stars on this one.

Delivered much quicker than I thought it would and also arrived in great condition. As for the game, I am enjoying it and love Pokemon a lot.

I havent played a Pokemon title since Pokemon Yellow so take my opinion with a grain of salt, but this game is AWESOME so far. Literally everything I wanted Pokemon to look like when I was a kid. I never played Sapphire, so the whole game is new to me. It has so many familiar kinks from generation 1, but has improved in so many ways. For people that played X and Y, you know what to expect. My only gripes with the series is that its hard to Catch Them All when your inventory is stuck at 6. I understand they only want you to have 6 available pokemon when out in battle, and once you can Fly it becomes much easier, but Id like to a see an on-the-fly inventory storing system thats NOT worse than Borderlands 2 so I can actually collect more at a time when Im out and about. Also, no difficulty settings. I like to slow-pace myself through games, and I have to keep myself from over-leveling too many of my pokemon. Overall, 9.5/10.

By far one of my most favorite Pokemon games ever. Having played the original R/S/E I was able to compare the differences in aging, and I have to say, this is one superb game. It runs circles around XY and is a joy to play. The region is well developed, and despite what certain websites would say, there is not too much water. My only complaint is that this game is a little lacking in some of the areas Emerald expanded on, such as the battle frontier.

I have played Pokémon since red and blue were released in the US and this is now the 6th generation in the main series, a reiteration of the 3rd generation of games, the 23rd or 24th individual title, and somehow I still find myself enjoying this game. Its just like with Heart Gold and Soul Silver; the same basic game with upgraded graphics and all the new Pokémon plus some extra tweaks. The balloon bots are back along with poke-puffs and the P.S.S from X and Y. The map can tell you if youve caught everything on the route youre on and what youve already gotten. Im not a huge fan of the contests so really no opinions on that, from what I have read elsewhere theyre awesome... but I still remember trying to get Milotic... anyone who played the original and got one legitimately should know what I mean. For the TL:DR- Either new to the series or have played Sapphire before, if you like Pokémon its a great game. And its just in time for Chrismahanukwanzicah, or Festivus, or whatever holiday! (And despite what Amazon says, Pichu isnt one of the choices for a starter as far as I could tell)

Its a great game! I especially love the Soaring ability and the updated graphics. I just wish some of the elements like the Battle Frontier had also been included in this version, or the ability to customize your trainer. I loved the new post-elite four episode!
