> 3 dayI personally thought pokemon did a bad job previously with ds games, diamond/pearl were okay but I was disappointed with heart gold, but X and Y were pretty good but they stepped it up in these games. Great graphics, I love the storyline of sapphire and overall they did a great job on this game. Ive been a huge pokemon game fan for 12 years and Im telling you that youll be happy with this purchase. If you liked the GBA version of these games, youll really enjoy these new ones. If not message me and Ill buy your omega ruby if you dont like it.

> 3 dayAs I stated for my Platinum review. This is not the U.S. version. I have inserted pics to prove the difference between the product shown, and the one received.Amazon needs to get on the ball and show accurate descriptions. I dont know what else to say... It works (starts up fine). If it has issues saving or anything else I will update this review. Im just unhappy cause I bought it NEW in hopes of collecting it. Whats the point of collecting a cheaper foreign variant? Thats just my gripe though and it may not matter to you. If you just want a game to play, I suggest you go to your local store, test and buy it there. If you order online, buy it used since your copy will likely not be the U.S. version anyway.

> 3 dayWhat can be said about this game? Well, for a starter Ill preface that even though its a remake, its one of the best games Ive ever played in my life, if not the best. The story is still classic, it takes a lot of influence from the original Sapphire game but updates it a little, giving new, impressive designs to the characters and making them even more memorable than before. Every single one has a distinct personality and its wonderful to see these characters grow and change. New characters have been added too, as well as a brand new arc at the end of the game, after youve beaten the champion. That story was so game-changing it really solidified the game for me. Let me put the new content like this: you get to capture Rayquaza, Mega Evolve him, ridE HIM INTO SPACE AND USE HIM TO DESTROY A METEOR THATS HEADING FOR THE EARTH AND HOLY WOW HOW MUCH COOLER DOES IT GET THAN THAT?? This is one of the times where the 3D capabilities of the 3DS has been really great, really functional, and it isnt used 24/7 so it doesnt make your head hurt. The graphics are cute and appealing and amazingly well detailed. Its a beautiful game. It really, really is. The grass ripples in the wind, the waters beautifully done (and for a game centered around water thats pretty important!), the space scene is absolutely breathtaking. When you battle your Pokemon under some conditions it adds special effects like raindrops falling on the touch screen, its a nice touch really. You can tell how much effort the designers must have put into it its a really, really well put together game. The music was one of the best parts for me. Hearing that nostalgic tune modernised for the new technology took my breath away and, Im gonna be completely honest here, I cried at the beginning when the game started (purely nostalgia) and when the game ended. Twice. The music is so moving and it works so well with whats going on. Game wants you to feel pumped? The scores loaded with electric guitars and sic tunes. Game wants you to feel nervous? Violins and tense tunes. Game wants you to feel warm, cosy and comfortable? I didnt think it was possible to improve the original Littleroot theme, but I was proven so, so wrong. Its gorgeous. The overall feel I got from this game was that it was a lot more thought through than the other games in its generation (X&Y), it felt a lot more linear but without feeling limited. Theres so much to do but at no point do you feel overwhelmed, you can take it all at your own pace, whether you wanna challenge the gym, enter a contest or just play with your Pokemon in Pokemon Amie, a feature which I am so, so grateful they kept in the game. I really cannot overstate the little things in this game enough, just the smallest nuances that make you feel all warm and happy inside, seeing the characters you undoubtedly fall in love with learn and grow and go through emotions (if you dont think I cried when Archie cried youre mistaken) its just a smorgasbord of good writing, good programming and good game design. A perfect example of how to properly and perfectly remake a game. IN CONCLUSION: DO YOU LIKE POKEMON? YES? BUY THIS GAME. HAVE YOU NEVER PLAYED POKEMON? YES? GOOD, BUY THIS GAME AND JOIN THE HYPE. THIS GAME IS FUN AND GORGEOUS AND EMOTIONAL AND UTTER PERFECTION AND I WILL BE PLAYING IT FOR YEARS TO COME. THANK YOU GAME FREAK ♥♥♥

> 3 dayI bought Pokemon Omega Ruby for myself, and Alpha Sapphire for my 7-year-old cousin who LOVES Pokemon. My only complaint is that it doesnt have voiceovers. He cant read very well, so he isnt able to follow the storyline, but he loves battling and catching Pokemon. The icons when looking through your inventory and shops helps him out a lot though for resupplying. I noticed several more multiplayer features than the original Pokemon Sapphire, as well as ridiculously enhanced graphics. Great game, and an amazing remake of my own favorite childhood Pokemon game.

> 3 dayAbsolutely my favorite Gen. in the series. Hoenn is unlike any other region to date, there is nothing like it as well. The memories came rolling in as soon as the soundtrack tuned! This one scores huge nostalgia points with me as I was only 10 when RS hit America. I went for Ruby the first time around (which I paid for with hard earned house work cash - pretty good for a 10-year-old) so I decide to go with Alpha Sapphire. Gen 3 wasnt my first go in the series. I started watching the Anime in 1997, and first played Pokemon Gold 2001on a lime green Gameboy Color (which I also earned money for!!). Hoenn holds a dear spot in my memories and Heart (Heart Gold... Pun lol!). I would most certainly recommend this to old fans and newcomers alike. Also, those of you who started after the Third Gen. or simply think you are too old, well... think again. Nobody is to old for Mons. Do yourself a solid and pick up a copy. I still havent progressed very far past the second gym due to the awesome new features; the DexNav to be specific. So many awesome new feature -- no Battle Frontier, however. Pick up one of these titles for sure. If you have doubts then put them aside. Hope you all enjoy as much as I do.
